Dear First Grade Parents, 

Our MES Administration is excited to offer an opportunity for our teachers to "go to lunch" with their grade-level teams! The teachers are so excited to have this time with their colleagues and to have lunch out in our community! 

But we need your help to make this happen!

We're looking for two parent volunteers for each homeroom for a two-hour period during that grade's lunch window to help with the classroom. Our first teacher lunch date (fittingly, for the first grade teachers!) is THIS THURSDAY (March 16th) - and we still need lots of volunteers to help from 10:30am to 12:30pm so that they will be able to go to lunch. We are specifically looking for volunteers for the following first grade classes:

• One volunteer for Ms. Dean's class
• Two volunteers for Ms. Espelosin's class
• One volunteer for Ms. Hamilton's class
• One volunteer for Ms. Westwood's class
• And two back up/alternatve volunteers

If you are able to help out, please sign up here as soon as possible.

Please note that you can volunteer to support your child's classroom or another homeroom/grade, so if your child's class is already covered, please consider volunteering to cover another class instead. At the start of each shift, volunteers will report to the MES Main Office for a quick meeting with Principal Sofianos before going to their assigned homeroom. Students will have lunch in the cafeteria during the two-hour window, and teachers will share the schedule and activities for the class with the volunteers. And don't worrt - an MES staff member will be visiting each of the rooms to support the parent volunteers while you're there.

• Friday, March 24, 9:20-11:20am - 2nd Grade Team
• Monday, March 27, 11:40am-1:40pm - 3rd Grade Team
• Friday, March 31, 9:55-11:50am - Kindergarten Team
• Wednesday, April 12, 11:05am-1:05pm - 4th Grade Team
• Friday, April 28, 12:15-2:15pm - 5th Grade Team

Please consider this "gift" of time to our teachers - it won't be possible without our parent volunteers to support the classrooms while the teachers are off-campus for lunch. Thank you for helping to make this fun opportunity for our teachers a success!
