be left at the back entrance near the
Welcome Center. Thank you for your
380 Kids Performance This Sunday!
Pastor Brody has asked our kiddos to perform the two songs we have been learning. They will perform at the 9:15 a.m. service this Sunday, February 10th. If your kiddos are grown, come enjoy the children as they welcome our church into worship.
From The Trustees
There is an unexpected expense that the trustees need some help to cover. The most recent radon test in the church basement slightly exceeded the maximum allowed level. There is no explanation why the level increased after years of being below the maximum allowed. The cost to mitigate this to a normal level is $2,400. We are planning to proceed with making this necessary facility repair. Donations of any amount to help cover this are greatly appreciated. Please mark "radon" in the memo of your check.

Thank you,
Rick Less
Save the Date:
Lord's Acre Sale, August 24, 2019

"A New Take On An Old Tradition"

We are experimenting with the date for the Lord's Acre Sale by moving it to the end of August. We will not be competing with college football or other fall festivals. There will be more emphasis on outdoor activities, but we will offer many of the same indoor activities, including a Country Store, live and silent auctions and delicious food for sale. There will be organizational and informational meetings in the near future. Stay tuned!
Notes of Gratitude
Thank you so much to all the volunteers who came out to help and for all the donations given for the chili fundraiser! We sold out of chili and made $1,300. We cannot thank you enough for all your support in helping us raise the money for our mission trip this summer.
AGC Carry Out Dinner
AGC carry out dinner this month will be Monday, February 18th from 4:00-6:00. This month's menu is Zio Johnno's 1/2
gallon bucket of spaghetti and garlic loaf bread. Contact Ali in the AGC office to preorder.
Swisher Library Coffee & Conversation

     Endless Possibilities
      History of African-Americans in Iowa

Iowa was the first state in the US to officially integrate its public schools in 1867, jus two years after the Civil War. Surprised? This and so much more is part of the wealth of Iowa's African-American history. In celebration of Black History Month, join us and the curator of the African-American Museum of Iowa in a lively hour of pictures, stories and discussion. The coffee is on!
Seniors Valentine Potluck
Join us for a Valentine Potluck on
Friday, February 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Come share time and food as we celebrate Valentine's Day and love!!

Coordinating Our Building Use
Are you needing a place at the church for a committee meeting or event? Please note that ALL scheduling of the building's use must be cleared and scheduled through Julie in the church office. This is not a "permission" issue, but we do need this central location for keeping track of the building's activities (we are thankful to be able to host a growing number of Boy and Girl Scouts this year!). Just drop an email or phone the office (848-7213), so there are no surprises. Thank you!
