20th Anniversary High School Nationals Boasts Record Numbers


A record number of varsity squash teams featuring more than 1,500 players will compete in the 2024 U.S. High School Championships—the world's largest squash tournament—as the event marks its twentieth anniversary, February 23-25, in Philadelphia.


203 varsity programs representing seventeen states will contest thirteen divisions at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center, Penn Squash Center, Drexel University Kline & Specter Squash Center, Germantown Cricket Club and Springside Chestnut Hill.

Team USA’s Sabrina Sobhy upset Egypt’s world No. 8 Nour El Tayeb for the first time in their eighth encounter on the PSA World Tour to reach the third round of the Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family Thursday, February 22, at the University Club of Chicago. The 2024 U.S. Hardball Singles Championships will take place at the Specter Center, April 19-20. Registration is now open with age divisions available ranging from 40+ to 80+ and men's and women's Open divisions.

This year, the College Squash Association introduced a new championship format and for the first time since 2016, men’s and women’s teams competed alongside each other. In a packed house, several men’s and women’s teams ranked 13th and below were crowned divisional champions last weekend, including the Hobart men's team pictured.
