Jaffe Sisters and Velasco Honored with DeRoy Sportsmanship Award

Graduating junior squash players Alexandra Jaffe, Samantha Jaffe and Oliver Velasco were presented with the 2025 DeRoy Sportsmanship Awards during the 2025 US Squash Junior Awards Night at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center Saturday, March 15. 2025 marked just the third time in the award’s twenty-seven year history that three juniors earned the honor.


Created in 1998 through the support of the DeRoy Testamentary Foundation, the DeRoy Sportsmanship Award has honored one female and male graduating high school senior who displayed exemplary behavior on and off the court while competing at a high level of junior squash.
