Jaffe Sisters and Velasco Honored with DeRoy Sportsmanship Award

Graduating junior squash players Alexandra Jaffe, Samantha Jaffe and Oliver Velasco were presented with the 2025 DeRoy Sportsmanship Awards during the 2025 US Squash Junior Awards Night at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center Saturday, March 15. 2025 marked just the third time in the award’s twenty-seven year history that three juniors earned the honor.

Created in 1998 through the support of the DeRoy Testamentary Foundation, the DeRoy Sportsmanship Award has honored one female and male graduating high school senior who displayed exemplary behavior on and off the court while competing at a high level of junior squash.

Alex Jaffe Tops Twin Sister Sam in GU19 Final; Dartnell Claims Second National Title

Alexandra Jaffe defeated her twin sister and DeRoy Sportsmanship Award co-honoree, Samantha, in a five-game GU19 final, while BU19 top seed Alexander Dartnell claimed his second national title without dropping a game on finals day of the 2025 U.S. Junior Squash Championships Sunday, March 16, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.

NSL Draft Completes Team Rosters Ahead of 2025 Season

Draft weekend at Boar’s Head Resort in Charlottesville featured exciting exhibition matches, a Pro Am doubles tournament and a junior NSL match all driven by some of the world’s best players. The main event of the weekend, however, was the NSL Draft presented by Squash Education Alliance.

NSL 2025 Season Schedule Announced

Opening Day will be April 25th and the season will run until Playoff Weekend June 26th-28th, with teams battling hard to win their divisions and secure playoff standing.
