Team USA Targets Medal Haul at Santiago Pan American Games
Team USA has arrived in Santiago, Chile, ahead of the quadrennial Pan American Games, as the seven-player delegation aims to top the medal table for a third consecutive Games, October 31-November 5.
The quadrennial Pan American Games has served as the largest international stage for Team USA squash since the sport’s inclusion in 1995. The squash competition will have seven gold medals on offer across individual, doubles and team events. The individual event will open the tournament today, October 31, followed by doubles November 2-3, and teams November 3-5.

Team USA’s world No. 5 Amanda Sobhy and world No. 9 Olivia Weaver lead the women’s individual draws as the gold and silver medal favorites, respectively, and oppose each other in the draw as the top two seeds. Twenty-year-old Marina Stefanoni earned her appearance at the Pan Am Games by winning the Pan American Junior Championships, and enters the draw as a 5/8 seed. Timmy Brownell, a 3/4 seed, and Todd Harrity will represent the U.S. in the men's individual draw.
