Team USA Tops France to Place Seventh in World Junior Men’s Team Championship

Team USA recorded pivotal wins over Canada and hosts France to place seventh at the biennial WSF World Junior Men’s Team Championship—the first to be held since 2018—Sunday, August 21 in Nancy, France.

The U.S. Junior Men fulfilled their 7/9 seeding, falling against top seeds Egypt in the main draw quarterfinals. Individually, Caroline Fouts and Lucie Stefanoni recorded the highest finishes for Team USA, placing tenth and eleventh, respectively.

"I'm very proud of how the team conducted themselves in France, they knew what it meant to wear USA on their backs, whether it was giving every ounce of effort on court or supporting their teammates when they needed it most," said Luke Butterworth, U.S. Junior Men's Head Coach. "This is an exciting group of players with so much potential, some of whom will return next year and can draw from this valuable experience of playing against the world's best."

Elsewhere in the main draw, two seeds England upset Egypt 2-1 to win its first World Junior Men's Team Title in twenty-two years. After the conclusion of the tournament, it was announced that the 2023 World Juniors will be held in Australia.

Women & Girls Summit Schedule and Speakers Announced

The inaugural Women and Girls Summit will take place September 24 at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, bringing a diverse group of players, coaches, leaders and parents together from around the country. Featuring workshops, seminars and on-court sessions, the Summit will share knowledge and best practices for healthy, sustained engagement in squash for girls. Nearly 700 Players Contest World Masters in Poland

683 masters squash players ranging from 35+ to 80+ are contesting the BETARD WSF World Masters Championships this week at Hasta la Vista in Wroclaw, Poland. Stefanoni Sisters, Brownell and Faraz Khan Named U.S. Open Wild Cards

Sisters Marina and Lucie Stefanoni, newly-crowned U.S. champion Timmy Brownell and world No. 56 Faraz Khan will serve as the four wild cards in the 2022 U.S. Open Squash Championships presented by Truist, October 8-15, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.

World's Best Confirmed for 2022 U.S. Open
