Keyboarding Just Got TypeTastic!

TypeTastic logo with a smiling red panda mascot and a blue banner reading “BISD • Grades K–5.”

TypeTastic helps elementary students build keyboarding skills through engaging, self-paced activities!

Teachers and students can access TypeTastic through ClassLink using Google sign-in. Attendance and kindergarten (KG) classes are already rostered and ready to go! Teachers should use these existing classes rather than creating new ones.

Sharing Students? Add a Co-Teacher!

Do you switch classes or share students with another teacher? Instead of enrolling students in multiple classes, add your teammates as co-teachers! Co-teachers can view student progress, access reports, and customize learning activities within the same class.

Important: Students should only be enrolled in one TypeTastic class to keep progress tracking consistent.

TypeTastic Shuffle: Managing Your TypeTastic Class!

What happens when a new student walks into your classroom, or a student unenrolls? You might head over to Typetastic expecting everything to update automatically—but hold that thought! TypeTastic does not automatically sync nightly like our other programs such as Canvas and Focus.

To keep your classroom running smoothly and make sure every student can jump right into their keyboarding lessons, you'll be managing your TypeTastic class rosters manually this year.

Brand New Student to BISD?

Add the student to your TypeTastic class so they can begin keyboarding activities. Students sign in with Google.

Student Leaving Your Class?

Unenroll the student and select No Class if their next teacher is unknown. Do not delete their account! This preserves their progress if they move to another BISD class or campus.

Tricky Transfer Situation?

If a student needs a manual transfer between classes or another BISD campus, submit a Helpdesk ticket!
