Happy April! This month we are celebrating Preservation Week and have a few things scheduled for you all. There are lot of computer classes at Tulsa City-County Library this month. So make sure you check out our event calendar !

Preservation Week, April 21-27
Saving family, business, or local history can be daunting. It can be hard to know where to start.

We will be celebrating Preservation Week in the Digital Literacy Lab April 21-27 with a series of classes on digital archiving, digitization, and digital estate planning.

Preservation Week: DIY Digital Archives , Monday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m.

Preservation Week: DIY Digitization in Action , Wednesday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m.

Preservation Week: Online Legacies & Digital Estate Planning , Friday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m.

Central Library will be hosting a free workshop intended to reach out to women who are interested in learning modern Web Development on April 19-20. In this workshop, we'll take you through the process of building a complete web application using Ruby on Rails.

By the end of the day, you'll have an application that connects to a database, reads and writes data, and renders HTML in a browser.

We'll meet up Friday to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code. Programmers of all skill levels are welcome.

Attendees will need to bring their own laptop.

Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 or at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29 for a Digital Literacy Lab Orientation at Central Library.

After attending an Orientation, you gain access to our computers with the full Adobe Creative Suite, digitization equipment, and more!
Teens: Garageband 101
Teens, are you looking for a new tool to mix some beats? Need something to use when editing your new podcast? Garageband is a great tool and fairly easy to learn.
Join us on Wednesday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m. to learn the basics of using Garageband 101.
Central Library dubbed "Best Place to Learn Something New" by Tulsa Voice
The votes are in for The Tulsa Voice’s 2019 Best Of Tulsa awards and readers say TCCL’s Central Library is the city’s “Best Place to Learn Something New.” We certainly agree! With nearly 100 free programs offered in April, now is your time to visit Central Library and learn something new.
