Best of all: it's just 4 sessions (8 hours total), and anyone who attends at least 3 of the 4 sessions will receive a free laptop to take home and keep learning and practicing on their own.

In celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day and the independence of several Central American countries CARON is hosting a community resource fair.

The Housing Resource Fair is designed to connect community members with valuable housing information, programs, and services. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about affordable housing resources, tenant and landlord services, housing stability programs, homelessness prevention resources, financial assistance programs, and other local services that support housing needs. The event is free and open to everyone in the community.

Starting on July 1, 2027, Medi-Cal will stop covering dental services for some adult members, except for emergencies. This change is based on immigration status. The change only affects Medi-Cal members who are aged 19 and older and do not qualify for federal full-scope Medi-Cal.

CORA is now offering office hours at Fair Oaks Community Center, making it easier for community members to access support and services in a familiar and convenient location. Community members can connect with CORA staff for information and support related to crisis intervention, safe housing, mental health services, LGBTQ+ support, legal services, and prevention and education. The CORA satellite office is available on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 3:00–5:00 p.m., beginning August 18. Community members can visit the Fair Oaks Community Center front desk for more information and assistance connecting with CORA services.

Cañada College Connect brings college programs and services directly to community locations in Redwood City and Menlo Park. Community members can meet with outreach staff at Fair Oaks Community Center, Cañada College at Menlo Park, PAL Center, and Belle Haven Community Campus to explore opportunities that support their educational and career goals.
