Superior Glove Fostering Community Connections Across the Globe

Superior Glove is a Canadian, family-owned company that has been rooted in Halton Hills for over a century. While many have driven past their facility on Hwy 25 in Acton, Ontario for years, they may not realize the company has grown into a global enterprise - with locations in Honduras, Mexico, Shreveport, Buffalo, and Newfoundland.

In 2023, Superior Glove launched a children’s English camp in Villanueva, Honduras as part of their social responsibility efforts. This program focuses on teaching English to the children of Superior Glove's employees from their facility in Villanueva, as well as other local children with limited opportunities to learn English in school. During the program's inaugural year, staff members from Superior Glove's North American facilities volunteered to teach English over a 4-week period, benefiting 33 children. At the beginning of 2024, Superior Glove expanded its program, offering English language learning, sports, and more to 78 children.

This camp is making a difference in the lives of these children and opening doors for them. As Superior Glove continues to grow the program, they aspire to establish community partnerships to extend this camp's benefits to team members from other North American companies. The volunteers who attend and lead the camp have had invaluable experiences, immersing themselves in a new culture, connecting with their global team members, and finding fulfilment in making a meaningful impact on the lives of many children.

To learn more about Superior Glove's social responsibility programs and how you may join their efforts, contact Carleigh Roughley.
