GenFed branches, FREDI, shared branching, and online banking will be

CLOSED

Friday 11/1, Saturday 11/2, Sunday 11/3 and Monday 11/4 as we upgrade our systems.


Online banking and FREDI will be unavailable starting at 2 PM Eastern on Thursday, October 31.


Bill Payer will be closed from Monday, October 28 - Monday, November 4.

ONLY 27 DAYS LEFT before you may not be able to log into online banking unless your email and phone number are up-to-date with GenFed and you know your account number.

The digital upgrade is designed to enhance your experience with us! Our team has been hard at work developing new features and improvements that we believe will make your interactions with GenFed more seamless, efficient, and enjoyable. Online banking, as well as our internal systems, will be completely different in an amazing way! You and our employees will soon be using state-of-the-art, upgraded technology!

  • Upgraded Online Banking: Enjoy a cleaner, more intuitive design that makes navigation easier than ever.
  • New Features: Access a variety of new tools and services that are designed to simplify your experience and meet your needs more effectively like credit score/monitoring, fresh tools to budget and track spending, money transfers with Zelle, and seamless connections to eStatements, Bill Payer, credit/debit card information and controls.
  • Improved Performance: Experience smoother transactions, ensuring you can accomplish your tasks with ease.

How To Prepare

  • The first time you log in to the new online banking you will need to re-enroll. Make sure your email and phone number are up-to-date with GenFed. Here’s how.
  • Know your account/member number and your Social Security number.
  • Any automatic transfers scheduled through online banking, including loan payments,may need to be recreated in the new system. Please verify all automatic transfers.
  • Any bills or loan payments scheduled to be paid during the extended upgrade weekend will not be made! Please re-schedule them to ensure prompt payments.
  • Please activate any new or re-issued debit and credit cards immediately upon receiving them as activation will not work during the upgrade extended weekend.
  • Any alerts you have set up in the current system will need to be re-established on or after November 5.
  • Make sure your debit / credit cards are unlocked in the GenFed Cards App before October 31 to avoid denied transactions.
  • Any bills scheduled to be paid through Bill Payer during the upgrade, November 1 - 4, may not be made!  Please re-schedule them to ensure prompt payments. Also make a personal note of your billers, recurring payments, and biller account numbers.
  • GENFED and all of its services will be CLOSED Friday, November 1 – Monday, November 4. Online banking and FREDI close at 2 PM Eastern on Thursday, October 31. Bill Payer closes on Monday, October 28.
  • Watch for further information about how to prepare!
  • Pre-plan your spending for GenFed’s upgrade extended closed weekend. Check your balances ahead of time.
  • There will be no interruption in the direct deposit of your funds, and Early Pay will remain available.
  • Your credit and debit cards can be used during the closure.
  • Deposits may take longer than normal to process to your account.
  • Anticipate longer than normal wait times as we resume normal operations. 

We appreciate your patience as we roll out these changes and we’re excited for you to explore all the new possibilities. Our employees have been working overtime to make these upgrades happen and we apologize for any service interruptions you may experience. We’re confident our new systems will be worth the minor inconveniences we’re all experiencing as we all work together to Build our Bright Futures with Heart.
