Dear Friends,

It is time once again to check in and we hope that this message finds you all well and healthy. Over the past few weeks, especially this last one, people across the world seem to be brimming with anticipation of their re-openings, of going back, of returning to the way things were before we were all struck with the pandemic. While it is absolutely essential that the global and local economies ultimately begin to open once again, to save communities and livelihoods, it is crucial that it is done safely and responsibly, with empathy and understanding. Going backwards is not progress, but learning from past experiences, even the most trying, and applying them to the way we move forward is. There is no doubt that we have all been changed to varying degrees by the recent events and we all have similar yet different stories to share. But as we begin to see our daily lives uptick to a more familiar pace, albeit altered, let us not forget our compassion for one another. If we lose our compassion we lose our strength, we lose our ability to work together and evolve, we lose our heart and soul. Take it slow, move at the pace that feels right for you, apply what you have learned, help others. These are most certainly unchartered waters but together we will ultimately steer our way back to safe shores once again. All in due time.

Here at the resort we all, even Copper (our newest Golden Retriever), have been rather busy finding our own way to re-opening. While we are rushing about spotlessly cleaning the cabins and prepping the grounds the grass is getting greener by the day, the otters are playing, the geese and ducks are tending to their nests, the sun is reflecting like diamonds across the ripples of the lake, and the sunsets are continuing to offer awestruck moments to pause and exhale. When you find your pace, and you feel comfortable and confident we are here and we so look forward to welcoming you back to the Northwoods.

The safety, security and confidence of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance to us, therefore we are implementing new and improved protocols this year. We will be updating our polices regularly on our website.

Please enjoy some of our moments below, at your pace.

Thank you for being a part of our family.
With love,
Sue, Denny, Steph, Todd, Scott and James
