Dear Friends,

We hope you all had a positive and healthy week, and were able to find some time to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend while giving thanks and honoring the members of our military that have given their lives to protect our freedoms. While thinking about the events of the week and beginning to format our message, the words that kept coming to mind were perseverance, resiliency, strength and courage. The events of the past months have certainly tested these characteristics in each and every one of us and have caused us to pause and take stock of where we stand. How we react in the face of challenges. How we hold it together. How we carry on. And although it is essential that we all work together right now and there are many similar stories, our own personal journeys are as unique as our fingerprints. Only when we truly understand how we feel in the privacy and safe confines of our hearts and our minds, and are able to be proud of our choices without affirmation from others, are we able to effectively care for, love and support ourselves and those around us.

Across the resort this week the trees, perennials and wild flowers continued to push through with each day offering a new blossom to instill a sense of familiarity and hope. The soft touch of blue from the forget-me nots, the sweet scent of the crab apples luring the bumblebees, the chrome yellow of the dandelions, the delicate unfurling of the May Apples, the subtle presence of the woodland violets underfoot and the electric chartreuse of the new leaves all represent the epitome of perseverance and resiliency with their return each year.

This past weekend we were quite busy at the resort. Many guests called last minute to reserve cabins for their holiday weekend as they wanted to get away, get to the lake and find some solace in the Northwoods. We were grateful and happy to welcome them all and be able to offer a wonderful experience while implementing our extra precautions for everyone’s comfort and safety. We look forward to being here for each of you this season, as always.

Please enjoy some images of our moments below, revealing more of the season.

Thank you for being a part of our family.
With love,
Sue, Denny, Steph, Todd, Scott and James
