Marina Buzz
April 2020
Hello

Ah, spring in the Rocky Mountains, last week we were sun bathing in tank tops and shorts, this week we are curled under blankets with the heat on full blast. Colorado's Public Health Order is still in effect which means most of us are still working from home. The marina was given the green light to bring back our core staff to begin the tedious work of protecting the infrastructure of the marina from the ice. We implemented all the recommendations from the County and State regarding social distancing. Employees are required to wear face masks, work 6ft away from each other, wash hands frequently, wear gloves and we are constantly disinfecting all surfaces.

We know that it is tempting to come down to the marina especially as the weather warms but town facilities are still closed to the public. If we want to have a successful summer it's imperative our customers stay home and stay healthy to reduce the risk of jeopardizing our safety and ultimately our summer season. We miss you and look forward to welcoming you back when the time is right.

Love the Summit Online Auction
The Towns of Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne along with The Summit Chamber, the Keystone Neighborhood Company and the Copper Mountain Resort Association have come together to support Summit County businesses with the creation and launch of the Love the Summit online auction. Love The Summit supports small businesses that are closed today for a better tomorrow.

Love the Summit is an online auction for local businesses in Summit County to sell products, gift cards and services during the COVID-19 closure. All proceeds from the online auction will go directly back to the business selling its goods.

The Auction will be open from April 20th- May 4th.
“Love the Summit is an incredible opportunity for our towns and businesses from across Summit County to come together to support one another in a positive way during this time,” says Summit County
Commissioner Elisabeth Lawrence. “The online auction allows all of our community members – residents, second-home owners, and visitors across the state, to support the wonderful businesses in Summit County and prepare for a better tomorrow.”

Hi Everybody,

We’re back....kinda. We are still closed to the public but as of April 20th our core crew returned and we are gearing up to head into Summer. We are cranking through what’s left of our winter projects, breaking up the ice and getting your marina ready for what will hopefully be a great season.

I can only speak for myself but COVID-19 has brought some new perspective about what’s important. Near the top of that list is all of you, this marina and what it means to have something to look forward to. I don’t know exactly what this summer is going to look like, but we are going to work hard to provide you with a place of solace and fun. It’s a lot of work but I have a great crew and we're doing everything in our power to make this a great summer.

What an interesting spring! Taking on a new job and role is never easy, but doing so during a pandemic has been quite the learning curve. This time of year we are usually busy getting things put back together after the winter, hiring crew and getting our fleet dialed. Instead this year we have a skeleton crew of essential workers out breaking ice to protect our docks, wrapping up winter projects and creating contingency plans as we learn more about COVID-19 and what it will mean for our business this summer. We have not made any decisions as of yet and we are moving forward with plans as normal. We are getting ready to start working on spring work orders so it's important if you want service work done on your boat or if you want your trailer stored you must submit a work order. If you need a new work order please click here so I can send you a new one.

We typically call this time of year our Retail Christmas. Unfortunately with the closures across the country some of our retail is behind. A few of our new items arrived this last week and we are excited to share a few teasers below!
If you have any questions regarding the upcoming summer please feel free to reach out! Until next month please stay home and healthy so we can have a great summer!

Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo for our "throwback Thursday" post a week ago on Facebook and Instagram. It's clear there is no-one we would rather spend a day on the lake with than our pups! Here are some of our favorite dog pics from summers past.
