She said Najib told all of Iraq [where] "We put several solutions to address the financial crisis, including the need to have a monetary policy of the Central Bank to cover the deficit, and secondly on the government to postpone the payment of debts to countries, such as delayed Kuwait war debt."

Tlar:   Hmmmm. Sorry. Just clearing my throat and listening to you guys. The dinar is stable. Don't worry. Iraq's debt is low compared to other countries as the reserves they have including gold could pay all their bills if no income came into the country for longer than the IMF requires.

Yes that are facing a budget crisis. So as far as their ability to cover imports and debt for three months as required of reserves, that's a no brainer.

As far as backing the currency goes, the CBI has made sure that the dinar is so well backed both short and long term if in fact dollarizing their economy has reduced the circulating dinars to what I truly believe, less than a trillion.

Any system, or correction to an existing system, including change through revolution, is manifested from the hearts and minds of man. And until those hearts and minds balance and work in unison, the dysfunction and corruption (of all processes) will continue.

The same cycle will continue for ten thousand more years. Wanting or desiring a "mosquito coast" lifestyle does not mean that lifestyle will not be altered or corrupted from outside forces, never mind the corrupt forces which exist within each of us.

If 1m b/d of saudi oil was no longer priced in usd but in yuan, what would happen to the relative strength of the USD? The dollar would skyrocket...just like it has done.

JaxJags: This was sent to me by ScottyG................and he too states that this person's opinions are based on some dated info.

Here are Scotty's thoughts..........."There are several observations that are quite interesting.

First is the budget is supposed to be based upon $40 p/b oil.

Second is the point about the need for bond sales to support the country. (Gee where have you heard that from before?)

It sounds like with the newly achieved stability of the CBI (thanks to the removal of Maliki and his knuckleheads) with Shabibi re-established as Gov. that they are pushing forward.

ISIS AND OIL: IRAQ'S PERFECT STORM - ANALYSIS

The flow of dinars and dollars within Iraq is critical to dealing with the ongoing crisis and yet little understood even within the country. The figure below illustrates the pattern of these flows.

As is well known, the primary source of government revenues - over 95% - is from oil exports. For over a decade, the dollars earned from these exports have been paid into the Development Fund for Iraq (DFI), which is held by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The primary reason for having oil export payments paid to the DFI rather than directly to Iraq's Ministry of Finance (MoF) is to avoid confiscation of these funds by foreign courts in settlement of Saddam-era lawsuits.

Please read the entire news letter since it will eliminate much confusion and questions that can easily be answered JUST BY READING THE NEWS LETTER.

Remember I am no longer going to reply to email questions concerning issues I just explained in this news letter or any previous news letter. If you are really concerned about your investment you will then be responsible enough to take the time (as I do) to read the news and absorb it. Good Monday morning to everyone....it appears the second reading of the budget is complete....some MP's may not be the happiest but they got through this and now on to the vote..."next week"....

I was hoping this might mean later this week, but I think we are actually looking to "next week".....fraud and corruption still are being found and I take that as a good thing....ferret it all out.....

M still is making a little noise....but not to worry I believe his actions too will be ferreted out....Abadi is smarter....

Kurds are seeking resolution to Article 140.....I think they will see this forthcoming in a few weeks....and Oil Minister Mahdi is on the hot trail of oil sales to Egypt to the tune of 4 million barrels a month.
