Millionday 1/14/2015

Millionday:   since last June, oil has lost almost half its price, at a time when OPEC refuses to back down from its position of reducing production to ease the glut of oil supply and wrote a lot about this dramatic decline and raised scenarios and different ideas to deal with the repercussions of a downward movement which caused extensive damage to the economies of several countries, including Iraq, which is almost entirely dependent economy on oil.

Millionday: NOTE -- WE HAVE READ A REPORT THAT STATED WE SHOULD EXPECT IT TO LAST AT LEAST SIX MONTHS SO WE WILL JUST HAVE TO CHECK ON IT EVERY SO OFTEN THIS YEAR

Millionday:   and perhaps determine the price of a barrel global oil for adoption in drawing the budget year 2015 highlighted the challenges faced by economists because the global price of crude did not settle yet to a certain extent while sources predicted the price of the bottom of the range of $ 35 crude barrel and $ 40 per barrel of Brent.

WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM   What's the future of OPEC?   By Elias Hinckley

Brule  Who is coming to Davos 2015   Over 40 heads of state and government, as well as 2,500 other leaders from business and society will convene at the 45th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, from 21 to 24 January 2015 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, to discuss The New Global Context.

This context consists of 10 global challenges affecting the world today: environment and resource scarcity; employment skills and human capital; gender parity; long-term investing, infrastructure and development; food security and agriculture; international trade and investment; future of the internet; global crime and anti-corruption; social inclusion; and future of financial systems.

Current affairs, such as the escalating geopolitical conflicts, pandemics, diverging growth and the new energy context are on the agenda as well.

"The World Economic Forum serves the international community as a platform for public-private cooperation," said Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.

  WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

What's the future of OPEC?   By Elias Hinckley

Saudi Arabia's decision not to cut oil production, despite crashing prices, marks the beginning of an incredibly important change.

There are near-term and obvious implications for oil markets and global economies. More important is the acknowledgement, demonstrated by the action of world's most important oil producer, of the beginning of the end of the most prosperous period in human history - the age of oil.

In 2000, Sheikh Yamani, former oil minister of Saudi Arabia, gave an interview in which he said:

"Thirty years from now there will be a huge amount of oil - and no buyers. Oil will be left in the ground. The Stone Age came to an end, not because we had a lack of stones, and the oil age will come to an end not because we have a lack of oil."

With so many in desperate need of hope and or relief, why arnt we in search of the answer on how to get it then worrying, human nature to worry more. But if we transfer that energy toward another avenue we could get overflow of what we need. Something so many adults have not been taught how to do.

Wednesday News Summaries and Commentaries

I can already see that we have a rather interesting assortment of news articles this day to wade through....let's get on with the news then and see what has been provided to us.....

Pay close attention to post 166 from WS about the budget (See Article Posted Below).....I do believe it is the PLAN...the PLAN that we've been hearing Frank and Teams talk about for the past several CC's.....very very encouraging to me.

The Akil al-Zubaidi: Adoption of Private Education Act will provide billions of hard currency for the country.

A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee believes there needs to be an increase in attention to laws that pertain to Iraqi education processes, especially private sector education that this would in turn take some pressure off of public school finances and their funding requirements from the government.....

I am not sure of their claims that billions of dollars would be saved.....don't see the proof here in this article of such claims...but I'm sure there would be some savings.
