Many for so long have proclaimed the end of the dollar and a collapse of the USD system. Though the dollar will be adjusted downward at some point in the initial implementation of a multilateral system, its sustainability in a broader monetary framework will be a fundamental corner stone to correcting the imbalances which originated from the USD system itself.

The USD monetary system is based on using the domestic currency of the United States as the global reserve unit of account.

This arrangement has created systemic imbalances in the international financial framework which has lead to inherent risks in all segments of the system, such as trade, credit, exchange rates, inflation/deflation, commodities, capital flows, and geopolitical power shifts.

Swiss National Bank Shocked The World When.....

Today the Swiss National Bank shocked the world when it announced it would remove the cap it had in place to prevent the Swiss franc from rising too high against the euro.

Here's what that means and what it's all about.

Switzerland has a long reputation for having an incredibly stable financial system (everyone knows about its legendary banks). In 2011, during the scariest times for the euro zone, the country's safe-haven status turned the nation into an island of tranquility. Money poured into it from elsewhere in the euro zone as investors sought a safe place to park their cash.

Of course, with everyone wanting to have their money in Switzerland, the franc exploded in value. In early 2010 one franc was less than 0.7 euro. By the middle of 2011 the franc was nearly at parity against the euro, a massive move in a very short period.

Don: At approximately 6:00 AM PST this morning 01/15/2015...FBN News Alert, Swiss Franc De-Linked from the Euro-Dollar over night that caught Wall Street off guard! In anticipation of the Greek election on January 25th and the Euro meeting in the near future, the Swiss CB De-Linked itself from the Euro-Dollar because they did not want to much Euro-Dollars in their 'Reserves' with these up coming Elections...The Swiss Franc had a 30% rise in value with this 'Official Announcement'!

Jubouri reveals the direct transfer of powers of the ministries to the provinces January 14, 2015, 15:37 BAGHDAD - ((eighth day)) The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and the provinces Ahmed al-Jubouri, Wednesday, for the direct transfer of powers of the ministries to the provinces,

adding that the transfer of powers began followed by the Ministry of Municipalities and the Ministry of Health, in what was considered the turning Iraq "virtually" to decentralization. Jubouri said:

"The cabinet decided during its 30th submit an application to the Federal Court to withdraw the appeal on the granting of powers to the provinces," he said.
