It intrigues me I get this information throughout the day sometimes late at night. It comes from a variety of sources. My job is to sort of get the information and discern and rightly divide the truth.
Sue and I talked a lot about that to try to determine what we are hearing and where we are in terms of this whole big picture. Because you know I really didn't expect to do a regular Big Call tonight. I thought we would have by everything I was hearing have it by now.
Now we are hearing since the Inauguration is on Friday, does it mean we have to wait until the Inauguration is past for this to go through? I thought no, it wouldn't be delayed. We would have it any day any night now. That has been my feeling for weeks.

Letters of credit make it possible to reduce risk while continuing to do business. They are important and helpful tools, but they only work when you get all of the details right. A minor mistake or delay can wipe out all of the benefits of a letter of credit.
If you rely on a letter of credit to receive payment, make sure you:
-Carefully review all requirements for the letter of credit before moving forward with a deal
-Understand all of the documents required
-Will truly be able to get all of the documents required for the letter of credit
-Understand the time limits associated with the letter of credit, and whether they are reasonable
-Know how quickly your service providers (shippers, etc.) will produce documents for you

I've got auditors sitting in my office here in Santiago right now.
No, not those auditors. Not the kind from the IRS that strike fear in the hearts of taxpayers.
The auditors in our office are from one of the big international accounting firms, and we invited them to review our agriculture company's 2016 financials.
This is something that nearly all large, responsible businesses do in order to provide their shareholders with a comprehensive annual report.
I wear multiple hats; as an entrepreneur who has started a few large companies, I have shareholders that I need to keep updated.
But as an investor, I'm a shareholder in a multitude of businesses, and I need to be updated about how those investments are performing.
