GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE. WOW!! OH WOW!! THINGS ARE REALLY GETTING EXCITING NOW IN THE MARKETS AREN'T THEY?

WE HAVE SHIFTED OUR AREA OF STUDY OUTSIDE OF IRAQ AND HAVE NOT BEEN POSTING MUCH BECAUSE THERE IS LITTLE TO LEFT TO SAY ON IRAQ. BUT I HEAR THE CONFUSION AND I READ ALL THE EMAILS AND OUR SKYPE ROOM HAS GROWN CONSIDERABLY WITH CONFUSED PEOPLE SO HERE WE ARE TO GIVE OUR SIDE OF THIS EVER BUMPY TWISTING JOURNEY.

I AM SPEAKING TO PAST ARTICLES FROM THIS WEEK AND I'M SURE YOU HAVE READ THEM SO I WILL NOT DRUDGE THEM UP AGAIN INSTEAD WE WILL JUST WRITE COMMENTARY OK?

LET'S TAKE A QUICK SPIN THROUGH IRAQ, IF YOU HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU NOTICED EVERYONE FROM ABADI TO JUBOURI AND EVEN MASSOUD YESTERDAY SAYING WE CAN NOT CONTINUE WITH OUT THE BUDGET.

WE READ LAST WEEK THAT THE BUDGET AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THESE BANKING AND INVESTMENT LAWS ARE RUNNING PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER.

livefree:    BigJohn, those are very good questions and been asked over and over.  The only answer I can think of is that Shabibi's intent of deleting the zero's off the currency would be in conjunction with an appreciation of the dinar (reval).

Eventually as I pointed out earlier is that it would benefit the Iraqi's because the higher exchange rate would reduce the cost of their imports, thereby benefiting the Iraqi's with cheaper goods at the stores.

This wouldn't happen overnight, just like our prices at the stores haven't immediately dropped with the price of oil going down.  It usually takes a few months for a price adjustment.  Now the question still remains, why would Maliki stop a project that would benefit his people?  As we have seen, Maliki is beyond evil, even more so as we've found out the depth of his corruption lately.  He doesn't want his people to prosper!

It may be hard for us to fathom that mindset, but then I'm hoping none of us here are evil and would condone deliberately hurting our fellow countrymen. It's seems like a simplistic answer to a complex question but it's the only thing I can think of since there appears to be no other factor but Maliki as to why this didn't take place a few years ago.

Currency Chatter Members Sharing Thoughts & Opinions Part 1

Deekon Moses:     This is only MY OPINION. When you see caps I am not yelling just putting emphases on WHAT I'm trying to express.I never have been a great writer. LOL.

Anyway,  Those who have been in this investment for quite some time know that per the CBI the OLD currency and the NEW currency (lower denoms) will co-exist together for a PERIOD of TIME.

The CBI has been REDUCING the "money supply" WITHIN Iraq to whatever their goal is as it relates to the greater context of the their 3 zero plan/PROJECT in terms of monetary reform.

I am of the OPINION that when the RATE increases, that it will at minimum increase on par the US dollar (Exchange Rate).

I also believe that even though OLD 3 zero notes will co-exist WITHIN Iraq with the new LOWERS DENOMS for whatever period of time that it will be legal tender.

Dinar Updates:

Poppy3 : WE CAN BE ASSURED IF THEY BEEN APPROVED BY BOTH THE IMF AND WORLD BANK THEY HAVE THE RESERVES AND PROJECTED PROFITS TO BE APPROVED.

THEY KNOW THE MARKET VALUE AT THIS POINT AND IT HAS TO BE VERY SUBSTANTIAL TO BE QUALIFIED FOR BILLIONS IN LOANS.

PLUS REMEMBER THEY JUST BOUGHT GOLD TO FURTHER SECURE SUPPORT FOR THEIR CURRENCY.

ALSO REMEMBER WHEN THE RATE WAS $3.22 BEFORE THE PRICE OF OIL WAS $31.00 A BARREL.

Gold and Economic Freedom   by Alan Greenspan

Published in Ayn Rand's "Objectivist" newsletter in 1966, and reprinted in her book, Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, in 1967.

An almost hysterical antagonism toward the gold standard is one issue which unites statists of all persuasions. They seem to sense - perhaps more clearly and subtly than many consistent defenders of laissez-faire - that gold and economic freedom are inseparable, that the gold standard is an instrument of laissez-faire and that each implies and requires the other.

In order to understand the source of their antagonism, it is necessary first to understand the specific role of gold in a free society.

OilRat January 18, 2015 at 9:49am Listen up Friends.....everyone needs to stay "focused" (on what's important), "positive" (in the now), and "calm" (knowing it's about over)

From this point forward.....there is not and will not be a lot of direct top-PTB Intel until this is done.....my contacts are "Simply Staying Stealth" (SSS), and I expect it to stay this way until we are in the banks celebrating.

Even the info they are providing is either repeat info and/or blah, blah, blah Intel. Let it be known, this is absolutely why I believe we are as close as we have ever been yet.

BOOOOM!!!! JMO

Sunday News Summaries and Commentaries

Well it is Sunday, there is to be a meeting between PM Abadi and the CBI governor today...then off to London....inquiring minds want to know who he meets there and for what reasons....that may require some cooking I think though....meanwhile we see more news of corruption...and yes Maliki's name crops up again...but so does Dr. S's name....but not for the same reasons....seems they are working in opposite directions....one out of potential legal threats....and the other right into the snare of the legal system.....good for both I say.....oil and gas law, investment law, and of course some budget items.

State of Law: Visit by a delegation to America Anbar and Baghdad media closer than Washington
