Scothchie: I would not be excited that Zimbabwe may be coming out with a NEW bond-backed currency, whether parity to the U.S. dollar or not. We DO NOT hold that currency. We hold worthless, in Zimbabwe, pieces of paper. Zimbabwe citizens hold dollars. IMO
ADMINBILL: THIS IS WHAT HAS BEEN EXPLAINED TO ME IN THE PAST BY HISTORICAL BOND HOLDERS AND OTHER PERSONS INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS.
THE ZIM NOTES WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH ARE CONSIDERED CURRENCY WHEN EXCHANGED IN THE CURRENCY EXCHANGE PROCESS WE WILL BE PROCESSED THROUGH.
ONCE THE ZIM NOTES ARE COLLECTED BY THE BANKS THE NOTES ARE THEN TRANSFERRED TO THE UST.
THE UST IN TURN WILL EITHER HOLD THE NOTE OR TRANSFER IT TO ZIMBABWE.
THE UST TO ZIMBABWE TRANSFER IS DONE AS A BOND, NOT A NOTE WHICH IS WHERE THE CONFUSION COMES IN. THE ZIM IS NOT WORTHLESS

We try not to call it even though we know it is very close. We know the expectation can be so high. We don't want anyone frustrated to expect it to go and it doesn't happen. I have felt that the last couple of weeks. There were nine times the last couple of weeks it was supposed to go.
Some may ask what is wrong with your Intel. Nothing is wrong with the Intel. The Intel changes and it gets slightly delayed, 24 hours, 48 hours, then another 24 hours, etc. People around the world put in for an extension. That happens.

Frank26: I don't know how long it will take to get Mosul...but I do know that Mosul will manifest the Monetary Policy...and I love the fact that it is slowly coming about IMO.
Let me give you an example....you can see this by the way if you want to, it is post 4 on today's thread...."Banking Reform the Beginning of Economic Revival".......they are doing something with the banks of Iraq that is causing them to restart....to kick in....to regenerate....could it be a Transitional Rate.....
"Iraq Needs a Well Developed Banking System"....they need to develop their skills in accordance with the international banking standards and Basil III....why....did you guys do something that you haven't told us....because you don't need these things for a program rate...that is like giving keys to a convict while he is wearing handcuffs....why would you set them free and ask for these things for their banking structure.
"They are Preparing a Five Year Development Plan in Cooperation with Their Government, Private Sectors and Banks"......you don't have any liquidity....what are you guys doing.....they are buying insurance for all these banks to insure their depositors so when they come their money will be well secured....well who cares for toilet paper....they don't even bring it into the banks....what is going on that is so obvious.

Islandg1211 - WTO WEBSITE COMPARES IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN
There have been many times some Dinar "Guru" makes the comment that Iraq's ascension to full membership of the World Trade Organization is imminent. Please, just look at the WTO website and compare Iraq and Afghanistan to understand why Afghanistan became a member this summer and Iraq has not even though both started the process at the same time.
The WTO has a well structured path to membership with each step well defined.
Afghanistan went through the process with all their Working Group reviews.
Iraq started the process under the Bush Administration, then stopped.

Maybe in the end result this was a very good thing since was Iraq really ready to move to an international currency? Did Iraq first need banking laws, to rid itself of the corruption and get all the other necessary laws in place, i.e. tariffs, HCL, Accountability and Justice, etc.? I don't have all the answers but I do know that Iraq would have been much better off without Nori al-Maliki at the helm and we must put the blame where it belongs for the USA supporting this guy. It just seems a waist of 8 years to me as a result.
Just one more thing on this topic.

BeachCindy: This is called the GCR (GLOBAL Currency Reset) for a reason .... not the Iraq Currency Reset ... look to the larger picture ... 209 countries involved ... even 'way back tony/DC said Iraq had done all it needed to do, that laws would always be changed as they run their country just like US, but none necessary for GCR....
Remember Tony emphasized the importance for all of us to read and understand "The Creature from Jekyll Island" ... ask yourself why Tony believed that understanding on our part was so important to this process.
