[cjswest] 10-26-12 LoriC: Multiple sources have now all confirmed that the Erbil agreement will be agreed upon during the Adha Eid holiday and then implemented prior to the National Meeting which is supposed to be next week sometime. This is what we have been waiting for so lets hope they live up to their promises this time. The National Alliance has finally put forward several initiatives to satisfy everyone and claim that there has been a breakthrough and that they will have it wrapped up in the next couple days.

Mountainman: The political blocs announced today that they have agreed to pass the HCL. After years of bickering we may finally see this issue resolved. Apparently, the the Committee of Five has done a good job reaching a consensus and they have an acceptable draft after a few amendments. The Kurds are praising their work and I think we should see this read into the gazette by next week sometime after the holiday is over and parliament returns to work.

[Bulldog75] IMF's Lagarde urges action on unfinished financial reforms...REUTERS RELEASE: TORONTO (Reuters) - Unfinished financial reforms are hampering recovery in key parts of the global economy and weighing on economic growth, the head of the International Monetary Fund warned.

[Bulldog75] In a speech in Toronto, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde urged world leaders to "do whatever it takes" to rebuild the world's financial system, which is still recovering from the 2007-2009 financial crisis and has been further weakened by the euro zone debt crisis. The global financial crisis prompted an overhaul of regulation in almost every part of the financial system from over-the-counter derivatives to bank capital requirements. But Lagarde said the global financial system was still not functioning well and there were powerful industry groups working against the implementation of the new rules.

[Bulldog75] "There are many vested interests working against change and push-back is intensifying,"

Lagarde told the Canadian International Council, according to prepared remarks. "It is interesting how some banks say the new regulations will be too burdensome, but then spend hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying to kill them," she added. Lagarde said progress was needed for financial institutions that are viewed as too big to fail and she called on regulators to coordinate and align their rules.

[Bulldog75] "Most countries have committed to adopt some or all of the new regulations, and some have moved further ahead with their own national policies," she said. "The challenge now is to proceed to the end of the reform path all together." Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney said it was time to end the too-big-to-fail problem, "so that the shareholders, bondholders and management bear the consequences of the financial system's mistakes rather than the taxpayers." Carney was referring to a situation where a bank becomes so big that it is too costly to let it fail, requiring a government financial bailout. Listen to the Intel .... can you trust it? ~ Freeway Bill

I very seldom listen to Conference Calls as it just frustrates me when people who know so little say so much. I know, I know that so many need to have some words coming at them to make them feel that something is happening at any moment, but some of the intel thrown out on some of these calls are of so little truth and so much guessing.

I have asked everyone to just be patient and wait for the real announcement which will come when everything is in place. Are we close? Yes .... How close? I gave up trying to figure that out a long time ago.

I can tell you that there is more intel flowing off the sites than on the sites that is true.

Anyone that thinks that what is going on with Maliki is the deciding factor on when this RV appears really needs to study this blessing a lot more than obviously xxx has. We are so long past anything in Iraq being a deciding factor. They want this done... They have passed all of their test .... You don't have to look very many miles from your house to find the blockage and the cause of the delays.

Watch for the UST bills to come out. BIG SIGN! Other than that, just relax and wait as we have been for years ... patiently.... Sure, I want it to happen today and it very well could. But, rid yourself of this kind of frustration.

What to Do in the First 24 Hours After a Flood   By: Gwen Moran

Hurricane Sandy; National Hurricane Center:

After flood waters subside, document, work with your insurer, and clean up safely.

As the homeowner, it's your responsibility to secure the property after a flood so no additional damage occurs.

Whether a flood is caused by ground water, falling water, or home water system malfunction, there are some best practices you'll need to employ within the first 24 hours after the flood to ensure the safety of your home and family and give you the best outcome possible with your insurance company.

Avoid additional risks

If the flood was serious enough for you to leave your home, be sure you stay safe upon your return. The Federal Emergency Management Agency warns that you should check for any visible structural damage, such as warping, loosened or cracked foundation elements, cracks, and holes before entering the home and contact utility companies if you suspect damage to water, gas, electric, and sewer lines.
...

Flooding is the most common natural disaster in the United States, causing $2.7 billion in losses between 2001 and 2010, according to the National Flood Insurance Program, a government-sponsored pool that provides flood insurance to home owners. Your home owners insurance policy doesn't cover flooding: You generally need to buy a separate flood insurance policy.

The key to reducing flood damage is to take precautions, which in many cases you can accomplish in a few hours to a few days.
