chattels: "Oil revenues are nearing 59 trillion dinars [$53.05 billion]. Deducting the cost of oil production, the remaining amount will be 45 trillion dinars [$40.3 billion]. Salaries and pensions alone require 50 trillion dinars [$44.8 billion]. How will the expenses of war, health, education, agriculture, services, the poor and others be covered?"

chattels: The most worrisome aspect of Iraq's deteriorating economic situation is that the government does not have a strategy to deal with this crisis. It has taken only temporary steps such as borrowing from foreign institutions or cutting salaries, both of which have exacerbated the problem.
chattels: The only way out of the current crisis is for the government to look beyond stopgap measures and instead develop large-scale economic plans the general population can contribute to and benefit from.

Walkingstick:  A new currency raises anger in Iraq

GMT 18:30 2015 Wednesday, November 18

Sectarianism and reached the currency notes

It raised new currency launched by the Central Bank of Iraq whirlwind of replies outs and condemning the act, while some considered a cause for ridicule and sarcasm, others considered suitable for melancholy meditation on the tragic situation which has reached Iraq.

Baghdad: hair shocked many Iraqis as they watch sectarian incarnated on my face new currency issued by the Central Bank of Iraq, but they soon found it ironic material on the one hand, and a cause of grief and pain of the other.

France's Answer To Terrorism: The Law Of Suspects

On April 5, 1793, decorated French military commander Charles Dumouriez caused a sensational panic in Paris when he fled the country and defected to Austria.

It had been nearly four years since French peasants stormed the Bastille, the event that historians generally regard as the start of the French Revolution.
And hardly a week had gone by since without some major crisis, emergency, or tragedy in  France.
How To Resolve Iraq's Economic Crisis

The Iraqi government faces a huge budget deficit and is having difficulty running the country's economic activities because of plummeting oil prices, the heavy burden of the  war against the Islamic State and rampant corruption.

Summary --   It's time for Iraq to look beyond stopgap measures and develop a larger plan to resolve the country's dire economic situation.

JDTolle:  Chuck Norris's 10 Favorite Things About America

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. The following are his words:

1. The American Dream.

There are so many inspiring definitions of this uniquely American proposition, as well as much recent conjecture about whether it still exists. Many descriptions focus on material prosperity: on getting what you want and achieving your potential.

As we get older, we learn that how one views prosperity and success is subject to change. I prefer to view the American Dream as a concept we've inherited that endures through generations, as spelled out in the Declaration of Independence. But however you see it, healthy discussion of it is part of what keeps the dream alive.

Speedspirit   Silver is not hoarded like gold. Silver is used everyday for high tech gadgets and medical devises. Silver is found closer to the crust and all the readily available silver has been mined and is going extinct. And that is according to the experts.
People may be losing dollars in their gold investment but they still own the same amount of metal. The weight never changes due to government games. China bought at higher prices and I do not see any news articles about them crying about current prices. What else is there that is a moral investment for future needs?
Throughout history there is a repeating pattern which has been recognized as a 80 year generational cycle, sun cycles that effect weather and crops, that in turn effects social cycles, there is repeating cycles of the markets the 7 year business cycle but bigger then that is 300 year cycles. 2032 market the end of our present cycle.
I am waiting for you to address helping others take responsibility for all of our future by not playing in a rigged game.

Sovereign Man  Notes From The Field  By Simon Black
November 17, 2015   London, England
[Editor's Note: This letter was written by Tim Price, London-based wealth manager and frequent Sovereign Man contributor.]
Léon Walras is the patron saint of modern economics.
In other words, he was a clueless failure who hijacked immutable principles from the world of physics and misapplied them to the economic realm.
The result, predictably enough, is that modern economics doesn't work.

JenneferV:  I heard just now from a friend.........they went to buy more currency from a local small bank (probably tier 4) and they said they no longer can sell ANY foreigner currency. I thought that was a good sign....

Buckmaster:  Jenn , lets hope that there is some meaning to that in our favor ..... That would be a great indicator for what we are waiting for

JenneferV:  Yes, buck! She told me that she talked to the teller on Monday about buying Rupiah. The teller said to come in and she would order it. When she went in yesterday to order, the same teller said that they are no longer able to order or sell any foreign currency.

TBirdd:  was it a big-4 bank?

JenneferV:  No, Tbird......small regional bank....but they had been selling prior to yesterday.
