[willietrader] SWFloridaGuy A question for you.. What can Iraq do about the missing Kuwaiti? isn't like they have not tryed

[SWFloridaGuy] willietrader That is an excellent question. I can give you a bunch of links that explain what they need to do but doesn't quite even give me the answer I'm looking for either. I just really don't know. I've always thought that it was a fake issue and that it was impossible. The issue of the missing Kuwaiti archives is crucial because it remains a central factor keeping the new GOI under the thumb of Security Council Resolution 686. That's my take anyway.

[ok rocks] From all I have read for the last week or two those issues are taken care of in agreements and are under MEU's not a problem and they are to be executed now... border issues and missing people ... all of it taken care of and agreed upon... no, I do not have all the articles at hand I read read read though

[willietrader] SWFloridaGuy Thank You glad to think im not the only one quetioning this (missing Kuwaitis) I must add Kiwait seems to be more then happy to help Iraq out of Ch7

[BOBGETZ6] As I understand it, yet I could be wrong, but Iraq could RV without being out of 7, but not out of 7 unless an RV.

[freedom13] GM WE still dont know the the truth about TALABANI yet we wait ,,to many different stories

[collie] heartfelt I trust this source better as it comes from the associated press...this is on my home page this morning

[heartfelt] freedom13 even the intel providers are stumped on this one.

[heartfelt] collie I like their reporting too.

[freedom13] heartfelt yes and i have people helping me to find the truth and so far no luck

[freedom13] or we did but to many stories pick one

[heartfelt] collie freedom13 my theory is he actually did have a light stroke and was hospitalized but the media was told with false information to spread the rumors once again to take us off course. They even had to come out with an alert that he was NOT DEAD... that is poor reporting to put this out without confirmation first, but it does happen.

MarineMom] Here are some things I've learned on this ride so far:

1 Patience is something you acquire when you realize you do not control events, and make a choice to sail through smoothly.

2 Although we may not always agree with one another, I believe in the goodness that lies within our souls.

3 Words are powerful instruments and better used for lifting up, than for taking down. Speak kindly or hold your thought. The echo of harshness is long and damaging . . . The echo of kindness is long and healing. Which do you prefer?

4 It feels really good to touch one another with shared virtual smiles, hugs, tears, and laughter.

5 As a group of people, we are all smarter and stronger.

6 Blind trust is a disservice to yourself and those you place it in. Follow your intuition, but do your own homework so as to educate yourself.

7 Things aren't always what we expect or wish for and that's when we must "adapt and overcome" (as a marine near and dear to me has said).

8 Laughter and silliness is good medicine and releives stress.

9 If you want help with something, all you have to do is say so. Dinarians are a very diverse group of people, from whom I have learned so much.

10 And even after all that learning from dinarians, sometimes it's a good idea to shut down the computer and hold someone in your arms.

thudz04] I have learned this Dinar adventure has been the most exciting, frustrating, exhilirating, taxing, nerve wracking, spiritually uplifting, depressing, educational, eye-opening experience of my life that will have the most spectacular ending imaginable and will be worth every moment invested.

UNSC needs time to decide on Ban''s options to deal with Kuwaiti missing persons, property - Tarasov
December 18 2012

UNITED NATIONS (KUNA) : UN Security Council members on Tuesday said they needed more time to examine Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's options to deal with the issues of missing Kuwaiti and third country nationals and that of missing property, and insisted that whatever their choice will be, Iraq still needs to fulfill its obligations towards Kuwait.

In his recent report to the Council, Ban, who visited Kuwait and Iraq earlier this month, listed four options to choose from after his high-level Coordinator for the two humanitarian files Gennady Tarasov leaves his post later this month for another UN job in Geneva.

The four options Ban presented to the Council to choose from are: asking the UN Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) to fulfill Tarasov's role, appointing an interim Coordinator for six months, replacing Tarasov with another Coordinator, or asking someone from UN headquarters to assume this mandate.

Ban prefers that UNAMI takes over Tarasov's mandate. He said Kuwait and Iraq find it acceptable too, but under certain conditions for Kuwait, most notably the fulfillment by Iraq of its border-related obligations. Diplomats said the Council is split on what option to choose, but concur on one thing: whatever the choice is, Iraq still needs to continue to fulfill its obligations towards Kuwait, a diplomat told KUNA.
