sue47] ..OKIEOILMAN I thought we were told quite some time ago that banks were all Basil 3 compliant. From what you said, unless I misunderstood which isn't an improbability, there are still come countries, ie banks who are not compliant yet. Did I misunderstand?

[..OKIEOILMAN] SOME INTERNATIONAL BANK'S ARE STILL NOT BASIL-3 COMPLIANT------CORRECT

[mpp] sue47 JI thought I read an article that said the US would not be Basil 3 compliant till 2014...fyi

[lindacraft] ..OKIEOILMAN do they have to all be complete to CE

[skipperrv] OKIEOILMAN So IMF is helping them with backing them with gold to get them compliant? Is this correct?

[..OKIEOILMAN] THE I.M.F. IS A STRANGE ORGANIZATION IN ESSENCE THEY CONSIDER A COUNTRIES OBLIGATIONS INSTEAD OF THEIR ASSET'S FOR THE S.D.R'S

[ellac20] mpp I thought I read the other day that China loaned the U.S. a lot of gold, I wondered then "why" now it is clear.

What Is Meant by Foreign Exchange Risk? By Eric Bank

When a company begins to export its products to other countries, it encounters foreign exchange risk, which is the risk of loss due to unfavorable changes in foreign exchange rates.

The risk comes about because importers typically pay in their own local currency, and the exporter must convert the payment back into the home currency. Should the importer's currency decrease in value, then the exporter will receive a smaller payment in home currency terms.

There are several techniques an exporter can exploit to mitigate foreign exchange risk.

[..OKIEOILMAN] GOOD TUESDAY AMERICA, SHIP'S AT SEA AND ALL OUR WORLD WIDE FRIEND'S. FIRST OF ALL THANK'S FOR ALL YOUR PRECIOUS PRAYER'S AS I HAVE REALLY BEEN NEEDING A DIVINE HEALING. I AM ON A VERY SLOW MEND BUT EXPECT A MIRACLE SOON.

I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE ACTION'S GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES REGARDNG THE GLOBAL RE-ALIGNMENT OF CURRIENCIES. THERE ARE MUCH SPECULATION REGARDING WHAT IS TRANSPIRING IN THE GOV OF IRAQ.

THIS IS VERY INTERESTING FROM A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE BUT AS FAR AS THE CURRENCY ADJUSTMENT WORLD WIDE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THE DELAY'S (I HATE THAT WORD) ARE CAUSED BY PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS INVOLVING 198 SEPARATE COUNTRIES AND NOT JUST VIETNAM AND IRAQ.

IF YOU WANT TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT AND WHEN THIS WILL OCCUR--FOLLOW CLOSELY CHRISTINE LeGARDE AND WHAT SHE IS SAYING IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RECENT G-8 IN WHICH CURRENCY RATE EXCHANGE WAS ONE OF THE TOPIC'S ADDRESSED.

Banks: G20 must act to avert currency war

By Mark Thompson @CNNMoney February 11, 2013: 12:04 PM ET

LONDON (CNNMoney)
The G20 group of richest nations must act to avoid a currency war and halt a damaging drift toward fragmented regulation, the world's leading banks said Monday.

The Institute of International Finance, representing more than 470 financial firms, warned of the consequences of "possible discord on exchange rates" as countries rely on monetary policy easing to get their economies growing again.

"We believe major central banks should focus on enhancing their cooperation, especially of their communication strategies, to guide market expectations and thus help avoid a disorderly interest rate adjustment process and undue exchange rate volatility," the IIF wrote in a letter to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, who is chairing the G20 meeting later this week.

Currency markets have witnessed some hefty gyrations in recent months due to widening gaps between the policies of the world's major central banks as they seek to revive growth and, in some cases, consider how to withdraw emergency financial support that has kept banks and economies afloat during the post-financial crisis years.

From OCrush - Post From Peoples Dinar

I feel so bad for Steve. He carries all the stress for us trying to be accurate in this roller coaster ride! All I know is the budget eventually will pass and we will put this behind us once and for all:))

The reason they are postponing it and kicking the can to vote on the budget another day is because they don't even know when the closed door negotiations will be finalized.

Once the head of the blocs are satisfied with the distrubution of monies to each province there will be a special quorum on the floor of parliament to pass the budget. This could happen any day. Them saying another day or week for the vote is like I said they don't know when the negotiations will come to a satisfaction and vote on the budget.

How to Avoid Paying Bank Fees

As a banker, I have the honest and inside track on how to avoid paying bank fees, potentially saving you hundreds of dollars! It is easy to drain your bank account, one fee at a time, with overdraft charges, checking account "maintenance" fees, "per check" charges and even various service fees assessed for assisting customers with balancing their checkbooks.

Banks have the legal right to charge you these fees for legitimate services and may change them at any time. However, they are also legally obligated to inform you of their fees and any changes to them, which usually come in the form of a small leaflet tucked inside your statement that they are hoping you will throw away before actually reading.

Typical banking fees can range anywhere from as little as $5.00 for transferring funds from a savings account to cover an overdraft in checking, or as high as $39.00 for an actual overdraft that the bank may or may not pay in the event you don't have their special coverage limit allowing overdrafts to a specific dollar amount.
