The momentum to "ban cash", and in particular high denomination notes like the 500 euro and $100 bills, is seriously picking up steam.
On Monday the European Central Bank President emphatically disclosed that he is strongly considering phasing out the 500 euro note.
Yesterday, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers published an op-ed in the Washington Post about getting rid of the $100 bill.

Bayati: Change Abadi means changing all the power structure

MP for the National Alliance Abbas al-Bayati, said on Monday that the word mandate contained in the words of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi Aigsd to abandon the House of Representatives for his powers and therefore must Ministerial change to get the confidence of Parliament.
Al-Bayati said in an interview for "direction Press" that Rais Minister Haider al-Abadi request of the House of Representatives delegation in general at the ministerial change in the framework of prodding and encouragement.
He added that the survival of Prime Minister is a foregone conclusion locally, regionally and internationally, and there is no data to change in this regard, pointing out that the change Abadi means changing all the power structure.

It used to be presented as a huge success story. We were told that in the middle of a ravished Middle East, surrounded by despair, death and pain, a land of milk and honey was shining brightly like a torch of hope.
Or was it more like a delicious cake surrounded by rot? This exceptional place was called Iraqi Kurdistan, or officially the "Kurdistan Region."
This is where the victorious global capitalism has been injecting "massive investments," while the West was "guaranteeing security and peace."
Here, Turkish firms were building and financing countless projects, while their road tankers and later a pipeline, were moving mind-boggling quantities of oil toward the West.

If I may attempt to put my spin to this....the translation is not the best it would seem
Appears that PM Abadi MAY be seeking an "independent" type individual to head up the governorship of the CBI.....he's looking for someone with an "economic" background....and whose experience level would be "commensurate" the position of Governor of the CBI....
Do any names come to mind for you......maybe Dr. S.....or perhaps....Dr. S.....no I'm not crazy.....
Dr. Shabibi, is the obvious possibility....but I still hang on the hinge that Dr. Saleh could also quite handily step into this role.....he's been a long time protege of Dr. Shabibi and now serves as Abadi's most able Economic Advisor......
As for a vote by Parliament.....this would merely be window dressing....IMO....as the final say needs to come from the IMF I believe......interesting times ahead of us.....just around the corner it would seem. Aloha Randy

These "machines" were also said to have the capability to print ID Cards...... and said to be used to generate the "second generation" form of the ration card.......Each of these "machines" were connected to data lines........ They know where their money is and have an accurate accounting.......

Mangelo: ok on Friday night my friend (who told me of the currency) has friends that are in those groups, I will not mention which one.
They got an email wanting to confirm their information, name, amount of currency, receipt etc. Once they receive that confirmation they would receive their contact information.
So I have waited to get confirmation that it could happen...:
Today it was told to me that last night they got confirmation that they would receive their exchange information tomorrow morning....I think it's safe to tell you!
My guy is very excited!!! everything he has gotten throughout this process is spot on!
I just haven't volunteered some the information...but this is very exciting because he was with some of those people and they are very happy that they got their notice of what's going to happen....so I felt it was safe to tell you
They where opening champagne bottles he told me! They where partying.....I will still wait till tomorrow!
We know things are happening..it's just it's being kept quiet from us
