Banking On The Status Quo -  By Chase Carlton

Perhaps it is time to rethink which banks you want to deal with, and while you are at it - consider what happened in Cyprus recently.  As you know if you have watched the news, banks in Cyprus were closed to prevent a run on the banks. Why?

Because the government, together with the banks came up with a plan to remove up to 9.9% of a depositor's money to help the banks pay the EU for bailout money to cover bank mistakes . . . 13 billion in mistakes. While it was voted down due to public furor, it was a watershed moment in banking history.

In reaction it caused numerous articles to be written  about how this could happen anywhere and it caused the price of gold to go up. What is the price you might be asked to pay, for putting your money in a bank for safe keeping?  These are capital controls and if it works for one central bank it will be become the solution for others. [capt ron] I'm gonna listen to Frank's cc when I get home.

[BOBGETZ6] capt ron If factually accurate, we are there....but

[capt ron] it sounds repetitive, but i also like where we are.

[capt ron] I just always wonder 'what else we don't know about' at this present point....

[capt ron] ...each cycle of these ups and downs is accompanied by a new, never before thought about/discovered political obstacle...

[capt ron] ..so therefore even though now it looks really good....I just ask myself 'ok, what is it that we haven't discovered for the first time THIS TIME?'

[capt ron] But the cool part is i got to have dinner with my son last night. Headed for the m.e, with the Navy next month.  I gave him a dinar gift last night.... ...getting back to the subject at hand.

[capt ron] I figure the odds of success here are getting so good it was time to transfer the currency to him.

[xscash] well Frank says it will happen this coming week

[capt ron] So I put my money where my mouth is, so to speak.

[capt ron] xscash, I want to listen to that cc later today, sounds informative.

[okrocks] rotormech35 BRICS Planning to Create Alternatives to IMF and World Bank

[okrocks] The governments of Brazil and of its peers in the group of developing countries known as BRICS meeting next week in South Africa are expected to give the go-ahead to the creation of multilateral institutions meant to rival the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, a Brazilian official with a Brazilian official with knowledge of the matter to reporters late Friday. Leaders of the group, comprised of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa,

 [rotormech35] okrocks WOW good one

[okrocks] The official also confirmed that Brazil and China should sign in Durban a currency-swap agreement by which each country would be able to borrow from the other in times of "crises that paralyzes systems of payment." The idea is to keep trade flowing in such circumstances, among other things,

[BondLady] *****Finally, while oil-growth is projected to remain high over the coming years, boosting non-oil private sector growth will need a long-term government strategy centered on improving the business environment and opening up opportunities for the private sector******* and this is where the WTO and the free market, tarriffs taxes, industries, agriculture, dairy, all the way down to toll roads , traffic tickets ...

what ever you can think of that we are taxed on in our countries, they will too...and this in itself will support the state projects and funding so they can avoid loans and using more budgeted items to fill the needs iraqs economy and private sector will be paying for itself...

these are huge things being set in place by not only the IMF but also the WTO.... such awesome news in this article from the IMF that came out yesterday...

[Shredd] yes yes yes and what comes with a "Free Market Economy" by definition? an internationally recognized currency

[BondLady] absolutly shredd and as timmy has showed us from her research of the WTO they must pay for product with there currency not ours and it must be acceptable at all the banks of the countries that are selling to iraq or working with iraq
...

BondLady] Good afternoon Bondlady's corner !! Ms timmy Shredd and I have been working hard in our research for our members and we want to keep every one up to date and informed as much as possible in this investment.

We are not about rumors or intel we deal only in fact and it doesn't get much better than the facts were about to bring to our members by our most awesome team so without further ado here we go...please know this is long and will require reading and thinking

[BondLady] lets begin:

Med:YES IT WAS BUT WE STARTED ON OTHER STUFF    IT IS PRETTY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND ONE THING THOUGH WAS WHERE WAS IT POSTED   THE VOICE OF IRAQ   WHICH IS THE TOP MEDIA OUTLET

AND THE COMMENTS ON THE CURRENT CURRENCY AND HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS TO KEEP PRINTING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN A YR ALONE

ranjoesgirl: they just need to do the change and be finished with all the old tattered notes so the fear of counterfeit is because no one really knows what the new notes will look like? and they are afraid the people will accept counterfeit notes ignorantly? am I understanding that correctly?

Med: YES AND NO

ranjoesgirl: ok

Med: THEY ARE PRINTING TONS OF COUNTERFIET RIGHT NOW AND IT IS BEING USED ALL OVER   BEING SOLD ON EBAY ALSO THAT IS WHY I SAID DONT BUY FROM JORDAN

[Robertprofessor]  IMO Stevel, whom I respect a great deal, is focused on Iraq. Since I see this as global, nothing about Iraq can delay it.I see Iraq and us on the same r v train. They're riding in a car ahead of us slightly, but they are no more pulling the train than we are.

[miss Kitty) it has become so apparent that this is a global event ... Iraq is almost insignificant imo

[Robertprofessor]Ultimately, CL has the final say, but there's a small group that has influence. Strictly my opinion. She will give the go ahead when all is satisfactory. And I think she's about there.

[Robertprofessor] Maybe a better was to say it and keep the analogy in tact, the global reset, global trusts, PP, etc. are the engine and CL is the train conductor.

[oldrichguy2b] It's always been my opinion that Iraq did not devalue their currency and is not in control of revalueing the dinar. IMF, UN, Bush, Soros, who knows all that are in control. Iraq was required to form a government and jump through all the hoops the PTB demanded. JMO

oldrichguy2b] I also think if Maliki weren't playing ball with those in control, they would make him an offer he couldn't refuse. JMO

[Robertprofessor] oldrichguy2b Like an invitation to a neck tie party that he would be compelled to attend? Lol

oldrichguy2b] Robertprofessor Or Maliki would be sleeping with the fish. Lol

[Robertprofessor] oldrichguy2b With custom fitted concrete booties?

(Thanks ES for emailing this to Recaps)

Bill T did a good job of taking notes during Randy's conference call, yesterday.

--STILL GREAT WINDOW.  RANDY THINKS THE RV WILL HAPPEN AROUND THE END OF MARCH, 2013.

--AASUME THINGS ARE APPARENTLY GOING AS PER AGREEMENT WITH MALIKI, GIVEN NO MAJOR NEWS ON THROWING MALIKI OUT.

--MALIKI HAS 6 TO 9 DAYS ,UNTIL MARCH 27TH TO MARCH 30TH TO DO ALL HE HAS BEEN ASKED. IF NOT THEN THEY WILL THROW MALIKI OUT.

--SO AROUND SATURDAY/SUNDAY , MARCH 29TH/30TH AND PERHAPS A FEW DAYS FROM THERE, FOR AN RV, OR A WEEK OR SAY MORE IF MALIKI  IS THROWN OUT. POTENTIALLY MALIKI COULD HAVE 10 DAYS TO APPEAL ANY DECISION, BEFORE AN RV IS HE IS THROWN OUT.  AGAIN, RANDY SAYS VERY LOW CHANCE MALIKI WILL SUBJECT HIMSELF TO BE THROWN OUT.

--EXXON AND ALL OTHER OIL COMPANIES ARE QUIET...SO ALL IS WELL
HERE...OTHERWISE OIL COMPANIES WOULD "WALK".

--IF MALIKI DOESNT DO WHAT HE NEEDS....THEN LOOK FOR LOTS OF "THROW MALIKI OUT INITIATIVES";  RANDY THINKS MALIKI WILL HUGHLY LIKELY  TO STAY...BECAUSE HE REALLY, REALLY  WANTS TO HAVE A CHANCE TO RUN FOR PRIME MINISTER AGAIN SOME DAY.

Supreme religious authority (SISTANI): There is no real difference between Sunnis and Shiites and the Shiites will defend their rights this year before their rights

Ahmed Saadi / Shatt al-Arab - 03/22/2013 - 6:16 pm | Hits: 29

The news agency here south

Confirmed Shiite cleric in Iraq, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani Tuesday, that there are no real differences between Sunnis and Shiites, adding we are servants for all Iraqis.

Mr. Sistani said in a speech delivered at the first gathering of Sunni and Shiite scholars in Iraq in the holy city of Najaf, saying: (I love everyone, and religion is love, impressed by how he was able to distinguish between enemies Islamic sects).
He went on to say: (these councils and meetings are important and useful as everyone knows that there are no real differences between the Sunni and Shi'a, the points of disagreement between the Shiites and Sunnis in doctrinal issues of the Quran (Koran) that exist between believers in the same ISLAM).

Mr. Sistani: (Today the Shi'ite must defend the human and political rights of the minority Sunni).
