Banks pull out all the stops for the ultra-rich

Every bank catering to the wealthy touts its high-end services. But several lenders are taking the hand-holding business to a new level.
From helping with the purchase of a plane to organizing college tours for children-and even finding assisted-living facilities for sick relatives or evacuating them from foreign locales-some banks are drastically expanding the menu of "concierge'' services they offer to prized customers.
Banks see these so-called lifestyle-advisory services, which are typically included in a wealth-management plan, as a tool to attract and retain ultrarich clients at a time of heightened competition. Banks generally don't charge additional fees for the services, though the client pays for whatever they procure.

CLDP to Hold Workshop with the World Trade Organization to Help Iraq Accede to the WTO March 17, 2014 - March 21, 2014
CLDP, in cooperation with the Institute of Training and Technical Cooperation (ITTC) and the Accession Division of the World Trade Organization (WTO), will hold a specialized workshop in Geneva, Switzerland on March 17-21, 2014 for a delegation of sixteen Iraqi officials from the Iraq Task Force on WTO Accession.
The Accession Working Party for Iraq was established in December of 2004, and the last Working Party meeting was held in April 2008.

[roudy] Important dates, confirmed from multiple sources..Mar 17,GCR quietly announced, Mar 22 US signed the new TRN agreement, Mar 24 all funds released for all historic bond payments. My sources agree that these events will not be up front news, but are ongoing nessesities.
[roudy] The Fitch announced just last Oct that the US was in fact going to lose the AAA rating. Something is happening to change world events.

Wealth management is a top priority for many banks and financial firms across South Florida, and they court their high net worth clients in myriad ways.
Seated in a private room at Caf� L'Europe in Palm Beach, jeweler Judith Ripka munches on her Mandarin Chinese chicken salad and listens to Valerie Ramsey discuss her book, √Gracefully - Looking and Being Your Best at Any Age.
Ripka flew in from New York especially for the luncheon, hosted by Sabadell Bank & Trust for three dozen of its wealth management clients and guests, as part of its "Women's Connoisseur Series."
"This bank is a wonderful bank," said Ripka, who bought a vacation home in Palm Beach two years ago and was referred to the bank by her real estate broker. "They understand their clients, but they care about the clients, too."
