[millionday] Iraq's economy must diversify to reduce its decades-long reliance on oil as the main contributor to its GDP, said the country's former planning minister, despite a recent uptick in oil production leading to expectations that OPEC's second-largest oil producer will be among the region's best-performing economies in 2014.
[millionday] Speaking to Asharq Al-Awsat this week, Mahdi Al-Hafez, who also heads the Coalition of Iraq, said: "The desired tasks for economic reform require the reduction of the domination of oil revenue on the economic situation and the adoption of a policy of diversifying the economy and developing other productive sectors such as industry, agriculture, communications and tourism, to make them genuine productive sectors which can contribute effectively to GDP."

The funds will take a few days to trickle out after that.

There will be vast amounts of wealth released for ALL of the projects to clean up the oceans, heal the earth, bring new technology, feed the people, educate the people, house the people, etc.

As you can see, it bears little resemblance to the typical "intel" you see on the vast majority of blogs and forums that write on this subject matter.

Thursday Morning News Summaries
Ministry of Finance began to lend to the government to pay the salaries of staff
The Finance Committee is warning of a cash flow issue without the budget being passed as they attempt to pay employee salaries....now the lack of the 2014 budget is being blamed for higher costs of good, higher inflation, higher cost of the dollar against the dinar....so the Finance Committee is lending money now to the government to make salaries and the like....wonder how long that can last.
World Bank reports show significant progress in the development of the Iraqi economy
From last week's meetings in Washington with the IMF and World Bank....the WB expressed satisfaction in the manner in which Iraq has performed economically in recent years.....this is largely in part to how Iraq is exploiting its natural resources and its investment operations.....they also warned Iraq of concerns over their budget from abnormally high expenses.

The answers are all around us but, other than repeating myself from yesterday and pointing folks to two very good books that have just been released this month, I would ask the reader if they have made TruNews radio broadcast a regular part of their mental diet? :thug:
Rick Wiles has some of the most amazing and brilliant guests that you will ever listen to so let me (again) encourage fellow students to listen. Last Wednesday, for example, spoke of the approaching death of fiat currency and then Thursday was an enlightening talk about how China is quietly buying up the United States!

Randall: Hey Stryker, It's not his opinion that troubles me but rather the 72 trillion in circulation. Is there any truth to that?
Stryker: Randall, I went over this on my webcast yesterday when talking about the dollarization of Iraq, if you get a chance watch it but I'll touch on it here as well.
In my studies over the years it shows that Iraq is heavily dollarized and as much as 80% of what Iraqis use every day to buy things are in USD, so that means that the dinar is only used on 20% of the time when they buy goods and services.

Avcdc: The way I see it. The groups r the best way for the UST to get us informed dinars processed. A week to 10 days they give us 800 numbers or whatever that looks like. They shut down dealers. No double dipping and by May 1 the world knows what hit them. Maybe wishful thinking here but nothing else happening this am why not give it a shot... Lol
GatorGuy: a country is basically a like a large publicly traded corporation. Corporation put out quarterly reports , forecasts, profits& losses etc to give a value to their stock. this is public information. Iraq needs a public budget for a public rate (stock price). I feel when the budget is public..so will be their new currency (stock price)
