The Shanghai International Gold Exchange has suddenly come to life...
In September 2014 the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) launched its International Board, the Shanghai International Gold Exchange (SGEI). After a slow start, the volume of the physical SGEI kilobar contract (iAu99.99) has transcended all other SGE contracts in week 15 (April 6- 10).
The primary goals for the launch of the SGEI was to facilitate gold trading in renminbi, improve price discovery in renminbi and internationalize the renminbi.

Forex Rates Need To Be Adjusted: Experts
Although, the State Bank of Viet Nam at the end of last month had committed to keeping the exchange rate stable, the institute's Deputy Director Nguyen, Duc Do, said at the conference that the market was awaiting an adjustment from the central bank, given the rising dollar rates against many other major currencies. - Photo vietstock.vn HA NOI (VNS) --
Experts have urged the central bank to apply the crawling peg - an exchange rate regime that allows depreciation or appreciation to happen gradually - to help firms develop appropriate business plans.
