"Facts & Figures" for 2013: How Does Your State Compare?

March 18, 2013

By Richard Morrison

New Data for Taxpayers and Lawmakers on Key Tax and Fiscal Issues

Washington, DC, March 18, 2013-Today the Tax Foundation is releasing the 2013 edition of Facts and Figures: How Does Your State Compare?, a pocket-sized guide ranking all fifty states on forty different measures of tax and fiscal policy. Topics include income tax rates, business tax climates, and excise taxes on products like beer, wine, cigarettes, and gasoline. Facts & Figures is edited by Tax Foundation economist Scott Drenkard.

"It's vital that both lawmakers and taxpayers know where their states stand on key tax and spending measures," said Drenkard. "States are competing fiercely to attract new jobs and investment, and millions of taxpayers are considering where they might want to move, take a new job, or retire. People need to know where their states stand in relation to the rest of the country."

Each of the forty measures has its best and worst performers. Most favorably ranked states include Alaska, with the lowest combined state and local tax burden; Wyoming, with the most attractive state business climate; and Tennessee, with the lowest state debt per capita. Least favorably ranked states include California, with the highest marginal income tax rate; Kentucky, with the highest excise tax on wine; and New York, with the highest gasoline tax.

Hi this is a great article:

Ambassador of Kuwait confirms his country is seeking to remove Iraq from Chapter VII; UNSC makes final decision

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Ali believer that his country was seeking to remove Iraq from Chapter VII of the UN Security Council.  The insurer said Wednesday that "the results of the meeting leaders of Kuwait with Iraq at the highest levels and the meeting of the joint committees contributed to the issue of Iraq sought to get out of Chapter VII," noting that "the seventh item remains under the umbrella of the United Nations is the decision-maker in this regard and we on our part we to get Iraq out of the jurisdiction of this item. "

"We support the position of Iraq to get out of this item as soon as possible for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples."

He insured his speech by saying, "We expect in this period Kuwaiti Prime Minister's visit to Iraq to put its mark on all what has been agreed upon between the two sides and even develop more relations between the two brotherly peoples."

It is noteworthy that Iraq is subject since 1990 to Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, which imposed after the invasion of the former regime of Kuwait in August of the same year, and this item allows the use of force against Iraq as a threat to international security, as well as freezing of large amounts of its assets financial in international banks to pay compensation to those affected by the invasion.

[...okieoilman] THEY SAY IMITATION IS THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY---BUT---SOMEONE MADE A POST LAST NIGHT THAT SHOULD BE COMPLETELY ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. TO EXCITE PEOPLE THAT MAY BE VULNERABLE TO EVERY LITTLE RUMOR BECAUSE OF NECESSITY IS INEXCUSABLE. TO TOY AND PLAY WITH PEOPLE'S EMOTION'S AT THIS LATE STAGE OF THE GAME SHOULD BE CRIMINAL.

I AM GETTING VERY GOOD NEW'S IN TODAY THAT SHOULD HAVE A DIRECT REFLECTION ON WHERE WE STAND. I HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING NEGATIVE FOR NEARLY 2 WEEK'S NOW AND AM OPTIMISTIC WE ARE NEAR THE END OF THIS ENDLESS SAGA OF THE DINAR (AND DONG).

I AM AS ANXIOUS TO MAKE THE GRADUATION DAY POST AS YOU ARE TO RECEIVE IT. THE OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION ONCE GIVEN ME TO POST WILL BE POSTED ON THIS SITE FIRST. SO-----IF YOU SEE SOMETHING ELSE POSTED ON ANY OTHER SITE ATTRIBUTED TO ME WILL BE FALSE----

BLESSING'S TO EACH OF YOU----

[dinarchaser] WCW Hi What's the great word today? Been a pretty slow day.

[burk50] WCW hello do ur people think this week?

[WCW] dinarchaser i think that this thing has got everyone confused it should have already happend

[RubyRed] I thought it already happened, we just can't see it... lol

[oucrazy] WCW. . . the only ones confused are the ones who should have pushed the thing out by now!! lol

[dinarchaser] WCW My belief is, until they get the bad guys rounded up, meaning the ones that can take our money away once we put it in a bank, this can't really happen. I'm believing we are really close though.

[WCW] burk50 we thought an hr ago so i dont guess no one knows lol

Stryker: The high value of the USD is going to do this no matter what they do until they change Monetary Systems because there is a lack of Iraq Dinar in the market place and now we know that there is a lack of Dinar in all the Banks as well, according to the articles from Monday (see attachment below and quote from it).

When we get confirmation from the Rasheed Bank of Iraq that there is the lack of liquidity (Iraqi Dinar) in the banks it is pretty telling that they will have this problem as long as the dollar is their primary currency.

Last year I uncovered facts that showed that the USD was 80% of what they were using in the market place and only 20% was being used in Iraqi Dinar because they have been sucking in the dinar.

[Adam Montana] Morning all! wait.... it's not morning anymore sorry I'm late today, I had computer issues. Finally ended up stealing my wife's laptop ok, great no typing please

[Adam Montana] we are a little shorthanded this morning, so no warnings will be given. Kind of like warning shots at my house... ammo is too expensive to give warning shots

[Adam Montana] Now for the latest in the Iraqi Dinar

[Adam Montana] As you know if you're tuned in to the forums lately, things are picking back up! I said last week that the lull in news was nothing to worry about, and I'm glad to see they didn't make us wait too long for some actinon

[Adam Montana] unfortunately, no significant SOLID news at this time, but the momentum is picking up, so I am hopeful to be reporting big stuff soon. With that said, we have some good questions this week. Let's get to them!

Don't give much thought to yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow, live in the moment, and trust that your existence has meaning even when the world seems to be all blind chance and chaos!

The Lord put it on my heart to tell you about what it means when He is doing a new thing. There are two components to new things. One is a bit unexpected, but it's really part of the package: waiting especially for this blessing to manifest. Outside of the Dinar, in our daily lives, we do a lot of waiting. We wait at stoplights, dentist appointments, doctor's appointments, checkout lines and gas stations - you name it.

All of us have a measure of waiting in our lives. But when God is doing a new thing, one of the things that we don't anticipate is this whole factor of waiting and yet; "Now it springs forth but do you not perceive it?" OUR SUDDENLY IS IN THE WORKS!

There's a whole process of the "unfolding" of the new thing that sometimes requires time. We seem to be right in the middle of that. God promised a new thing, a new destiny, new blessings and HIS new plan for us, but for some reason it's just not showing up at our front door. And so what do we do? I have 5 tips for those of us in that place:

Einstein 4/2/13: I've been invested with this Dinar for a few years now and belong to a larger group of Dinar investors. Since my investment I've look at and read the many different Dinar sites on the web.

My attitude has been what will be will be with it all. Recently I've become a member of Dinar Detectives because that's my site of preference.

I'm no expert in finances of currency but I am a business owner who operates a company that does business in many countries. We deal in the conversion of many currencies to determine our purchase and sell rates while importing and exporting our supplies and products. That's the extent of my currency knowledge for the most part.

There has been a lot of speculation and claims recently along with a lot of bashing of each other. For that reason after all these years I've decided to do my own independent research on the matter.
