Posted by gg4 on April 30, 2015 at 8:00am

By Hadeel Al Sayegh

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iraq plans to obtain a sovereign credit rating and is approaching rating agencies as it prepares for a jumbo $5 billion (£3.2 billion) bond issue needed to cover a budget deficit caused by low oil prices, its finance minister said on Thursday.

"We started the process," Hoshiyar Zebari told Reuters by telephone. "The banks are also trying to help us in that direction."

Millionday News 4/29   Part 2

Millionday: Barzani is expected to meet with US President Barack Obama and top American officials next week to discuss the latest security developments in the Kurdistan Region, the role of Peshmerga forces in the impending military campaign against the so-called Islamic State in Mosul and the issue of Kurdish independence, Hussein told Rudaw Wednesday.

Millionday: NOTE -- THE VISIT TO MEET WITH OBAMA WAS EXPECTED SOONER THAN THIS BUT HERE IT IS FINALLY AND FOR NEXT WEEK

Millionday: "The issue is not something new. The president has previously sent Barack Obama a letter, which was focused on regional security issues as well as the issue of Kurdish independence," Hussein told Rudaw. "Surely he will discuss Kurdish independence during his official visit to the United States."

Wednesday April 29th, 2015 KTFA Conference Call Notes by FrostyTheSnowman

** The comments made by Frank26 and others are their sole OPINIONS and cannot and should not be used as any form of financial, tax, banking or investment advice! **

FRANK:  I know that some of you come here for a little dessert ... so ... first of all ... Frosty ... don't put this up tonight

I do want to tell you something family.

IN MY OPINION ... one of the most important things being done right now is obviously the monetary reform ... but there are many things or "wires of complexity" that come out of the MR process.

According to the Gulf Times, Vietnam has taken the lead in the list of the world's top BPO locations for the first time in terms of costs, risks and operational conditions.

This was described in a newly published report by US-based global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield entitled "Where in the World? Business Process Outsourcing and Shared Service Location Index 2015".

[Banking/CBI  Updates]

So we finally see more action going on with the CBI. The parliament is going after the CBI for a couple reasons:

1)    officers who were complacent during the Maliki takeover in 2013, when Dr Shabibi was  wrongfully accused of corruption, are still at large and operating. Many of these agents for the CBI were involved with corruption during and after Dr Shabibi was in exile. This does not make Dr Shabibi the criminal but rather who is behind this all is the criminal. Yes - so me of these crocked CBI officers still have to be dealt with. Just one more bit of cleanup still ongoing.

2)    parliament does not see the progress of the CBI is taking direct and speedy measures to deal with the increase of the dollar against the dinar issue, also the liquidity issue. I believe they also want to see a revaluation since the go-ahead was given months ago to continue the deletion of the zeros project.

UU4409 - "The Journey" by Mnt Goat

Hello Everyone,

I hope that many of my fine dinarian friends are now trying to take control of learning for yourselves on what is going on with this Iraq dinar RV process. I also hope you found my last newsletter (LINK) on taking this control useful and informative. Now it is time for action.

So today's helpful tip on intel gathering:
We tend to look at news sometimes in a vacuum. Almost like as it life stopped  and does not continue or never was. This of course is not true and so in this intel gathering you can't forget the past and must find a way to gather and save what you now know. What you learn today is applicable and interrconnected maybe months later. You have to put it all together. It is all interconnected as the world existed prior and continues to turn and life goes on in Iraq.

TNT:

Steadfast:  A reasonably sane person has to wonder, How much longer can they keep people on lockdown, and keep the Iraqi people from rioting?

Iko Ward:
Stead fast...sanity has nothing to do with this

Blackjack7:  zzzz the info that I received is very exciting but has to be kept on the hush hush but it affects us all  ...with my friends info I am quite sure that is coming here in the room today

RockyMntLAdy:

Thoughts On "Conflict And Commonality Between Multilateralism And Democracy"

Dottie Derewicz   APRIL 28, 2015 AT 11:42 AM  Wow.. a lot to think about/absorb.  JC, you have supplied us with so much information and I see how it all connects and here is the challenge you have given us to reflect upon. I am still thinking.. a long road, as I am considering how we got here. To me that is the important issue..how we got here.

Nanook.. I connected with what you had to say more than anyone else. Thank you for your thoughts.

And the people at least in the US..are unable to disconnect from what they have been spoon fed for so long. I have given them the truth of the matter for two years now and they still go back to what they were spoon fed over the years.

They can't get beyond it. They actually believe all these wars were fought for moral reasons. I truly get puzzled by that one.

I also find humans to not meld so well with change. Even though it may be that the change is for the best. I certainly am not sure yet that this change is for the best, but I am one who will try to take whatever the best of the change offers.

I will wait to hear what others have to say on this and continue to reflect on this.

Thoughts On "Conflict And Commonality Between Multilateralism And Democracy"

nanook73   APRIL 27, 2015 AT 11:19 PM  Hi JC,  I understand the intent of your line of thinking here but am concerned that without defining a few terms that a true discussion on what is good and what is bad for us as human being is difficult to have.

The first issue I have is with the idea that democracy is a moral system of governance. It is not. Democracy is a tool for decision making - it is amoral in this sense - and can be a tool for the better or worse depending on the framework within which it works.

The USA for example is technically NOT a democracy but rather a constitutional republic that uses democracy as a tool to operate politically. Much the same as our native Canada.

We are not per se a 'democracy' either but rather a constitutional monarchy that uses 'democracy' in order to carry out political business. You state:

"While America promotes the ideals of domestic democracy, it defiles the very nature and intent of democracy itself."

Wednesday News Summaries and Commentaries

Najiba Najib: recent central bank measures to increase outlets sell the dollar will not dominate the local currency deterioration

A member of the Economy and Investment Committee is talking today about the CBI measures that were recently implemented to increase sales outlet for the dollar.....she says that the Economic Commission today met to coordinate their efforts along with what the CBI has done....stating their coordinated efforts will prevent a collapse of the Iraqi currency....

Again here is mention of those illusive denominations the 50k and 100k notes that we nor any Iraqis have seen...but what is she attempting to say....."the committee will go down"...

When you have an attitude of faith, all the forces of darkness cannot stop you.

Maybe you're about to give up on what you're believing for. But you need to get ready-the sun is about to break forth!

If the thought is negative, discouraging or pushing you down, don't dwell on it-delete it.

Delete the negatives. Reprogram your thinking with thoughts of faith, thoughts of hope, thoughts of victory.

Quit telling yourself it's never going to change. Things can change overnight...even things that look impossible.
