Underdog: May 13, 2015 at 10:11am Statement was just made that, Rayren was on the call (OM) early early, this morning and said, no more contract rates...that, they've redirected those funds to raise the international rates.
Awake-in-3D > Underdog Very interesting... kind of makes sense also. There is some strange stuff going on in these final hours...
Tim > Underdog That was talked about as a possibility on a TNT call a week or two ago. I kind of like that, maybe no NDA

Jaafari receives Maliki
Believe what you will, IMO.....Maliki is building a case....for him though it is a case that he will never be able to win, except maybe in his own demented mind....he seeks weak points or cracks in PM Abadi's government and he will go to the end of times looking for them.....as he believes he should still be the leader of Iraq.....
Foreign Minister Jaafari hopefully sees through this thug and provides him with harmless information that will be meaningless before M leaves his office.....
I think M is looking for any kind of sign as to who might be an ally to him in a time of need....I would reasonably expect that not all of their conversation was done in earshot of others and who knows of the lies and tales that Maliki may have lain before Jaafari, even threats....trust not this snake for as with the first snake....his designs on the world around him are not pure.

BondLady & Admins Chat 05/13/2015 50,000 Dinar Notes
[Shredd] I was thinking about this 50k news and had this thought:
The CBI plans to move gradually from the dollar to the dinar. While this happens in the beginning, the dollar will still need to be used but the CBI wants to continue to reduce the large notes. This can be done with the 50k. The rate will be low enough at the beginning to support this note being in circulation.
If this is the case, the beginning of the change to the dinar may be close. The gradual (managed imo) change will begin as the reduction of the note count continues but is more agressive since the most used denoms will be coming in.
This is the only scenario I can see that would make sense regarding the release of the 50k note. The articles, while not yet from the horse's mouth, are supporting this; no increase in notes and no change in monetary policy.
Thoughts ?

wmawhite ...there is only one way a piece of currency can buy more...and that is when the price of goods decrease...and how does that happen?
When the value of that currency increases in the world market place...and in our case...the IQD outside of Iraq.
90% of the goods inside of Iraq are bought outside and imported. The only way those goods will decrease in cost is by the IQD increasing in value outside of Iraq.
Remember, the iraqi citizen has in his hand a 1,000 IQD note and 5 minutes later the IQD revalues (outside of Iraq), that Iraq citizen's 1,000 IQD note is STILL 1,000 IQD.

Saadi added that "the entry of the 13 private company traded on the Iraq Stock Exchange, trading rates will live."

MOF Concerned As Bond Sales Remain Stagnant
VietNamNet Bridge - The Ministry of Finance (MOF) fulfilled only one-fourth of the yearly government bond issuance plan by the end of April, raising concerns that the state budget would not have money to spend this year.

An MOF report showed that it had raised VND64.515 trillion worth of funds by the end of April, fulfilling 25 percent of this year's plan on mobilizing VND250 trillion through government bond issue.

Understanding Contract Rates... Why, How, When and your safety.
The Question was asked: Do you know where I could find more information about what a contract rate is and how to negotiate with contract rates? Thanks!
I will give you the run down on that in the short version. The US, China and Iraq have worked together to form kind of an alliance which deals with oil futures.
This means that instead of Iraq having to foot the bill for all the money that will be exchanged, they will get the US and China to payout the money for the revalued currency as China seems to have most of the money in the world and the US just creates money out of thin air anyway.
