Zim Gold Miner Sees Stability And Growth
Caledonia Mining reckons mining in Zimbabwe is far less risky than generally perceived
Zimbabwe undoubtedly gets bad press in the West. Robert Mugabe has been something of a b?te noir - and perhaps justifiably so - but according to Mark Learmonth, CFO of Caledonia Mining Corp (TSX: CAL, OTCQX: CALVF, AIM:CMCL), presenting at the Global Mining Finance conference in London, the political situation is actually very stable - more so than in many other African nations.
Government and administration both work, he said. Ever since the relatively recent debacle of hyperinflation and the demise of the Zimbabwean dollar, the country has used the US dollar as its currency and there is thus no longer any worry about any kind of rapid depreciation of the domestic currency.

OH, THAT REMINDS ME OF A PICTURE I SAW LAST WEEK OF A SUICIDE BOMBER THAT WAS CAUGHT AND THE POLICE TOO K A PICTURE OF HIM WITH THE BOMB STRAPPED TO HIS TORSO AND IN HANDCUFFS (BOMB DEFUSED AT THIS POINT). HE LOOKED VERY VERY SAD. WHEN ASKED WHY, HE SAID THAT NOW HE WOULD NOT GET HIS 72 VIRGINS IN HEAVEN.

So this is now they are going to delete the zeros WITHOUT them LOPPING the CURRENCY!!!!!!!
So while it may not give them much power of purchase ... for those who have accounts ... for those who have money ... when the CBI announces that change ... it won't affect their wealth.
Meaning ... if you had a million DINARS in the bank ... once you exchange it ... that million DINARS ... (at .85 cents) ... will be $850,000.
But in Iraq ... about 9 million people in Iraq have no money and they live check-to-check.
Out of 33 Million people ... only 1% are wealthy.
The cost of living ... food ... everything is expensive in Iraq.
