(Per Freeway Bill-The corrected extra rate accumulating for Dinar Holders for each day delayed is .085 not .85)

Freeway Bill from 6-9-12:
Another day, another 85 cents .... It is all good!

It has been estimated by reliable sources that at this point and time, every day that it does not happen, the ending rate will be increased by 85 cents.  If you put that into real numbers, that would be  $850,000 for every million dinar you have.  That is not a bad fee for the torment and misery so many are going through.  However, at this point, I am sure that almost all would gladly forgo the profiting period to just get this over with.

Folks, you know that I sit back and watch to make sure that you are not being fed a bunch of BS that will get you stressed for no reason.  When that occurs, I come out of hibernation and try to cleanse the entire process of waiting.

Jun 11 11:37 PM [BGG] Listen gang - I been saying it for a while now. You just don't get how bad off Maliki really is right now. There is consideration in his own party of either an attempted military take-over or having Maliki resign and someone from the Dawa internal party take-over. It's really bad for him. This will get all over DC as well.

Jun 11 11:37 PM [BGG] Things are moving along just fine. It might have been easier if Maliki or Talibani or anyone would have stood up and done the right thing - but, Oh Well...

Jun 11 11:37 PM [BGG] I'm thinking Talibani could foresee this "crazy" coming...
Won't matter soon - they'll have a solution soon.
....

Footforward just sharing some thoughts. No new intel.

Share of banking services per capita in Iraq is low, says Central Bank
11/06/2012 11:51

BAGHDAD (AKnews): The Iraqi Central Bank (ICB) stated today that the country is suffering from a low share per capita of banking services at an average of one bank per 40,000 people.

The ICB added that this is a big difference from what is found in neighboring countries, where every 10,000 people have a branch.

The deputy governor of the bank Muzher Mohammed Saleh said: "Increasing the number of bank branches in Iraq is a double-edged sword. The opening of any bank should be coupled with an increase of capital, because no increase in capital may lead to dependence on the deposits of citizens and this is risky.

Barzani persistent on removing Maliki
11/06/2012 23:14

ERBIL (AKnews) : President of Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani is persistent on removing Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki from the PM position.

Barzani said in a status update on his Facebook page on Monday that "efforts to remove Maliki in a constitutional way are ongoing" and that the required number of MPs have signed on a petition for a vote of no confidence.

Barzani said in his update that there are there are 170 signatures from Iraqi MPs to withdraw confidence form al-Maliki.

Foes of Iraq's Maliki cannot force confidence vote
11 June, 2012

BAGHDAD: Opponents of Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki failed to gather enough support for a no-confidence vote against the Shia leader, keeping the government in a slow-burning crisis over power-sharing among Sunni, Shia and Kurdish blocs.

A successful ballot would have been the most serious challenge to Maliki in his six years in office, potentially sinking the government and escalating sectarian tensions in a country still pulling back from years of war.

Iraq's President Jalal Talabani, a veteran Kurdish leader who has urged conciliation, said late on Saturday that Maliki's critics had failed to collect enough signatures from lawmakers to convince him to ask parliament for a vote of no confidence. Talabani had asked for the petition as proof Maliki's foes had support before he would send a letter to the legislature asking for a ballot. Under the constitution, more than half of Iraq's 325 lawmakers must vote against Maliki to force him out.

Maliki rivals lack votes to oust him: president
Monday 11/6/2012

AFP/Baghdad: Iraqi Premier Nuri al-Maliki called for a national dialogue yesterday after President Jalal Talabani said his rivals lacked the votes to oust him, but opponents insisted their efforts had "just started".

Critics of the prime minister have for months accused him of monopolising decision-making, and a political crisis that began in December has worsened in recent weeks, with open calls from a raft of political parties to pull the plug on Maliki's national unity government.

But late on Saturday, Talabani said groups opposed to the premier lacked the 163 parliamentary votes required to sack him, after which Maliki called on political leaders to unite to rebuild the conflict-racked country.

[buckwheat] This isn't earth shattering news it's only what my contact in the corp. foreign currency dept. of WF is being told by his superiors.

The US has the final say on when to release the RV.

Other people have said "it is just a matter of correct timing" and that is exactly what he was told.

Also that there was no hold up from the executive branch of government & to be prepared, everything was set & it wouldn't go past June.
...

What happened this weekend..... and What if ?

- What if.... Saturdays meeting was the National Convention - Talibani was there

- they said they had only had 160 seats - we know by math that they have allot more than they need for the vote of no confidence...... Kurds + Allawi + Sadr > 163 seats

- Biden flew into to Baghdad (same night for 2 hours) - was it just a visit - was it to get the results - since you can't get the correct info from the media - was met by high level government officials - Biden never left the airport - meeting was held in a special room in the Baghdad airport

- they have got quite,...... really quick after pummeling Maliki in the media about no confidence

- now Maliki will address the people to tell them ...what the real problems are......

--------- somethings brewing ? ....... Maybe even ..............moving forward.............

My take   8ball

Straight Talkin Mike's Transcription of the Recap of Tonight's News
(Listen to the recording for all of the detailed analysis of the articles discussed after each news article listed  - the following is just Straight Talkin Mikes recap of the news discussed)

Highlights from the CBI/Economy News

CBI
Legal Instrument:  "Legal Council of Ministers" recognize the instruments of Islamic finance project

We try to bring things that are informative to you so you can get an idea and understanding of whats needed - so you can educate yourself to the process thats over there
We have been talking about getting the private sector involved - and the banking sector getting it up and running
Because you have religous cultures - Muslin Religion - these Islamic Banks are fundamental in doing business in the Middle East
It is a Keystone for these to be up and running inside the Banking system
This is the FULL legislation/Act that they are doing for Islamic Banking - take the time to read this whole document- it has dates, times and important information - times they are moving forward to implement this year to make sure they can get these banking systems up and running and abiding by the Islamic Law
and doing everything they need to do so they feel comfortable with these banks and it invites not only the people in Iraq but its international businesses....other companies..other countries..like Saudi Arabia.......Jordan...mainly Kuwait to come in - they want them to feel comfortable investing but they want to make sure they are investing in things that are pertinent - and this lays out the plan for all of that
This is an amazing piece because they are in the FINAL CHAPTER of the Future of Iraq Project and we are seeing the Banking System come together - this is part of that Banking System and this will be implemented this year

UPDATE: My point for today is...you should have HOPE after you read this today...

A great big THANK YOU  to all of our MOD's - they are so awesome. None of what I get credit for could I do without them. They and our members are a bunch of very serious bunch of newshounds - it's tough to keep up with them!! ;)

As I look over the numerous possible outcomes here - I am still hopeful.  The violent back-and-forth only shows the furious pace at which things are being "stirred". The White House has sent VP Biden to Iraq a couple of times recently and there is still significant sentiment against Maliki (as well there should be).

It is highly likely the opposition will have Maliki "interrogated" in Parliament as a first step towards removal. This should happen soon. They don't need Talibani to "sign off" - but they would prefer not to "alienate" (as in - Pxxx him off!!) him. Maliki is not in nearly as good of shape politically as the "volumes" of news would seem to indicate. The news in not in the business of "predicting" - they only follow from a distance. So - if there seems to be a "tide" of news - they follow.
,,

6-11-2012 SWFloridaGuy: This month is an important one for Iraq. In 4 days they have the UNSC meeting. Tariffs go into effect at the end of the month and on the 26th and 27th of June is the World Banking and Financial Summit in London.

Shabibi of the CBI will be speaking and will examine the changing shape of global banking and finance in the light of the macroeconomic imbalances in the world economy. The World Gold Council, DeLaRue company and major banks from around the world will be in attendance. The agenda will explore the key economic factors that will shape the financial industry's drive for profits and growth in different countries, and consider the prospects of a possible reserve currency system reflecting the surfacing of important emerging economies and the subsequent shift in economic power.

In addition to Dr. Shabibi of the CBI, speakers include international economic decision-makers: economists, academics and other leading monetary figures. I don't expect a RV overnight but I do believe that after the National Meeting, if we see announcements of permanent Ministers, Erbil power sharing and the Strategic Council, the CBI will move ahead with their economic reforms and we could see a higher exchange rate on the IQD.

junebug: ty

Med:  AND PAY ATTENTION CUZ IT DOESNT CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY CUZ OF A STUPID ARTICLE THAT SOME MORON FROM THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE PUTS OUT YOU NEED TO STOP READING THEM AS THEY ARE GOSPEL

THE IRAQ ECONOMY IS NOT IN TROUBLE FOR REVENUES NOT AT ALL DO THEY HAVE A PRIVATE SECTOR

indian 1: NO

Med: NO BUT IT REALLY DOESNT MATTER THEY ARE MAKING MONEY HAND OVER FIST WITH OIL REVENUES AND WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE BILLIONS AND IT WILL DO NOTHING BUT INCREASE AND ALL THE OIL INDUSTRY IS CONTROLLED BY FOREIGN OIL COMPANIES
...

Ok, here we go, first forget about political posturing for me on this. Don't sweat Maliki, Talabani, Sadar, none of that. Take that equation out of the formula for just one minute.

Let's look at finances, and only finances that are in print, not the news, like someone telling a news paper, " we are going to strengthen the Dinar against the US Dollar" ya whatever, you have all said that from over in the sandbox for 2 years, I take that as Bla Bla Bla

Trust me this has a point.

Ok Iraq has a budget in place pegged to both the US dollar and the Dinar, in the current rate. Iraq has only (X) amount of dinar, but continues to sell for the US dollar. People in Iraq continue to use the US dollar because why, it's a world renowned currency, It can be used anywhere, Where can the Dinar be used,? Kuwait and Iraq, that's it, all funds for import and for sales are in US dollars. All Oil sales are in US dollars or Petro dollars.

daniandquin] I think that it's TIME!!!!!

[daniandquin] Let's do a Visualization exercise on this beautiful day. Sit somewhere comfortable. Sit relaxed (but not slouching!) and put your hands on your lap. Close your eyes. Breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose. Hold for a second or two, and then slowly exhale out your mouth- as you exhale feel the tension leaving your body and feel your face and neck and shoulders and arms and chest relax. Take 3 or 4 of these cleansing breaths

Now, breathe in deeply- but comfortably in through your nose and exhale through your nose. Now, visualize your computer screen. See all the details. Visualize the words you want to see on that screen, like

"We have live Rates on all teller screens"...... breath in, and exhale slowly... feel the excitement building ... feel your heart beating that tiny bit faster. Read the words again and again.
