~nk, JUST A THOUGHT THAT HAS CROSSED MY MIND.... THIS IS WHAT I WAS JUST THINKING... COMPARE WHAT WANG DANG HAS BEEN SAYING AND WHAT TONY & GARY HAS SAID ABOUT THE SMART CARDS OUT, CALLING IT AN RI NOW AND THEN THE RV... SEE HOW IT FITS TOGETHER??? WELL IT DOES TO ME ANYWAY
SOOOOOOOO IF WHAT WG AND TONY SAYS IS TRUE WE REALLY DO HAVE GREAT NEWS COMING ON SUNDAY, OR THERE ABOUTS, JUST LIKE TONY SAID!

blueeyesinlevis: "Wang Dang has consistantly said.. the mechanism to open the budget to ease inflationary pressure... to pay off the intial debts to pensioners/welfare with smart cards, etc, and get the ball rolling will be at .86 cents to 1.13... and then the RV will follow that 4 days later. He has consistantly said the same thing for months and months... the mechanism to open is .86 cents to 1.13.. attached to the smart cards.... with the full blown RV to follow 4 days later."

Managing Managers

Critical to the evaluation of any manager's performance is the creation, at the outset of your relationship, of an Investment Policy Statement, clearly establishing your financial and social goals and an agreed upon strategy for achieving them.

Lay of the Land

Ah, yes, the bottom line. How do you evaluate investment managers' performance? Can you get help to monitor your managers? At what points do you have reason to express concerns-and when would you fire someone? This article sums up some guiding principles offered by several experienced investment consultants.

When it comes to evaluating performance in a financial advisor, there's oversight as a noun ("letting my manager invest 15 percent of my portfolio in one company was an oversight") and oversight as a verb ("I'll never be an expert on mid-cap international offerings, but if I don't oversee this manager's performance relative to his peers, who else will?).

6-15-2012 Enorrste: It is impossible to talk about a "raise" in the "value" of the dinar and talk about a LOP in the same sentence. A LOP is revenue neutral, whereas a revaluation involves a "raise" in the "value" of the currency.

The removal of the large notes (remove the three zeros) does NOT affect the value of the currency. The RV (revaluation) which makes the small denoms have value ("about $1" per CBI statements) DOES INDEED raise the value of the currency.

However, after the RV, those who have some of the large notes will benefit, because THOSE NOTES will also RAISE THEIR VALUE, only at the NEW value of $1 per dinar.  The confusion for those who view this event as a LOP is that they have consistently misunderstood the meaning of "remove the three zeros".

They think that the zeros are just LOPPED off, when in fact the CBI is quite clear that the "three zeros notes" will remain legal tender at least until mid 2014, AND that they will retain their value as legal tender.

BAGHDAD - Iraq's rapidly expanding oil production is likely to complicate OPEC's efforts to influence world prices as the country re-emerges as a major player after 20 years on the sidelines due to sanctions and strife.

For now, Iraq is backing Iran's push for OPEC to set lower production limits and keep prices high, but Baghdad's own ambitious plans for expansion could cause an overall production growth that might drive down prices.

Analysts say Iraq's new clout is shifting the power balance in the 12-member Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and could force it to overhaul its intricate production quota system to accommodate Baghdad's greater output.

Iraq recently reached production of 3 million barrels per day, a level not seen since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion that ousted dictator Saddam Hussein. It is on track to become OPEC's second-largest producer in the coming year, surpassing Iran and trailing only Saudi Arabia.

"Deputy Central Bank Governor:  There are blurred in the understanding of partnership with the Government of the Central Bank"
Greatest article of the night....loved this article
talking about the relationship between the government and the Central Bank of Iraq and as they said in the article "the government needs to grow up"
We talked about the relationship before between the Central Bank of Iraq and its more important now than ever as they move forward in this process and moving the RV forward that they understand the government plays a fudiciary role of oversight - they don't get to determine what the monetary policy is...
The policy is determined by the Central Bank and this is a great article that comes out and explains the differences and where they are headed....I think it is a very timely placed article from the Central Bank to really get the people to understand again that the Central Bank is in control of the monetary Policy and not the Government and they need to make sure that they start to broadcast that out to everybody.....Great Great Article

[~PETERSMA] Opinion for what it's worth: While I believe that we are very close to where we want to be with this RV, it seems to me that there are many who are setting themselves up yet again for disappointment. As I read the "It has to be done by/before..." I know there have been other 'deadlines'. As I read "this person is about to speak" I know that all speeches are not about the RV. I know that it is prudent to watch for 'indicators' but I can't help the feeling that there are some folks out here letting down their guard and priming up for potential disappointment. To these folks I say, forget the have to by's and VIP speeches and just know that you are here in the right place at the right time and when this is over you will have 'won the marathon'. Take time to enjoy your family and friends and don't forget to live while waiting for this event to conclude.

Creating Great Relationships with Professional Advisers  by Jim Grubman

How would you describe your relationship with the people you pay to advise you? Does your financial adviser treat you like a kindergartner or a partner? When you're talking to your lawyer, do you feel intimidated or empowered?

In my counseling practice, it's not unusual for clients to discuss their relationships with other professionals in their employ. I've noticed that these relationships vary dramatically.

A woman whose money was always controlled by others (first her parents, then her husband) found herself in a similar situation with her financial adviser. "He acts as if the money is his," she said. He brushed off her questions about investments and dodged her attempts to discuss her feelings.

On recaps the discussion of using a PO Box for privacy is discussed. Now, I have been in the security field for 35 years and these guys are thinking waaaay out of the box. They are worrying too much, most dinarians are not going to have so much money that they will be targeted by terrorists and such. yes, be careful, don't give out info, etc, but the comments about only using passports from now on is silly.

However, for this safety issue, I have a comment about the PO Box posting on recaps;

----------------------------------------------------------------------

SpecialAgent Gibbs posting on Post Office Boxes 05/14/2012 (there is more, go read it please)

D75 asked me to add this addendum to my original article...

Bulldog75:

ADDENDUM TO THE PO BOX PHYSICAL ADDRESS: YOU MUST GET THIS APPROVED BY YOUR LOCAL POSTMASTER, HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT CURRENT AND "COMPLETE A SEPARATE LEGAL INSRUMENT SIGNED IN THE PRESENCE OF A POSTAL EMPLOYEE". DO NOT DO THIS ON YOUR OWN ACCORD. THIS HAS TO BE APPROVED BY YOUR LOCAL POSTMASTER TO HAVE AN ADDENDUM AND AUTHORITY TO USE YOUR PO BOX AS A PHYSICAL ADDRESS!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I have had a po box for years to ensure a bit more privacy for ebay, etc, recently, the Post Office contacted me and told me that I could use a street address and have UPS, FedEx, etc delivered to me!!!! It did not require special permission or any special form????

Sometimes I do not understand some of the info that I read?? This is a new thing that was added as a perk or draw for you to have your po box be more useful.

THIS CALL WILL REPRESENT THE CALL THAT NORMALLY TAKES PLACE ON SATURDAY
THERE WILL BE NO CALL THIS WEEKEND

How much should I spend on my next home?

The first step is to think about how much you can afford to pay out each month for a mortgage payment. Keep in mind that a mortgage payment typically includes property taxes and mortgage insurance as well as the mortgage payment itself. The general rule of thumb is that no more than 28% of your gross monthly income should be spent on housing expenses.

If you plan to borrow money from a lender then you might want to consider getting pre-qualified. Pre-qualification is helpful to the buyer for planning purposes because it gives you an estimate of the maximum mortgage amount you can afford based on your current financial situation.

Smart Card Payment System Launched in Iraq

Johannesburg, South Africa-based Net1 UEPS Technologies has launched a smart card payment system in Iraq. Net1 has developed a platform for unbanked consumers called the Universal Electronic Payment System (UEPS).

Consumers are issued with biometric UEPS smart cards, so that they can have welfare payments and other fund transfers loaded onto their cards. They can then use the cards for purchases at POS terminals, authenticating themselves either with a PIN or at a fingerprint reader.-

Reasons behind our Sunday trading halt
I guess Sunday you could hide under your bed...!!

OANDA will halt trading this Sunday, June 17, from 6:00 AM EDT until approximately 3:00 PM EDT. I would like to further explain OANDA's reasoning for this action.

First off, OANDA is the only forex provider that permits off-market, weekend trading.

In truth, volumes during the weekend are much lower than typical trading days, but OANDA has made this available as a service for its clients rather than an opportunity to increase corporate revenues.

The decision to halt trading is very much tied to the uncertainty in Europe and in particular, the Greek election. Given these events, there is the potential for extreme exchange rate volatility at a time when global currency markets are closed.

Mr. Sadr, Maliki is filed request his resignation from the government
(great find Careful1 ;) )

On: Friday 6/15/2012 2:11
Citizen / follow-up in a telephone conversation today with Mr. Maliki Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, according to some informed sources that al-Maliki pledged to the deposit of a written resignation from his current official (Chairman of the Presidential Council of Ministers) as collateral for the implementation of what has been agreed upon or in the future with partners. Mr. Maliki also asked by Mr. Sadr to exercise its role as anintermediary Corporate entry to clear the air and dispel the tensions arising from the crisis of confidence between the partners and the political process between the government of Maliki

http://almowatennews.com/news.php?action=view&id=43796

The article is basically saying not only is Maliki willing fully implement all the previous agreements - he'll tender a resignation letter as a "guarantee" that he will do everything he says he is agreeing to. It's awesome!! :) Thanks Careful!

I told you guys - Maliki is scared senseless over being called in front of Parliament - he knows there is no way he'll survive it (politically).

I felt it may help many of you as well.

All we can hang on to is the fact that Kuwait went through the same thing Iraq is going through now but with fewer problems. Also the internet was not like it is today and we have better access to the information super highway..

With all of that being said.. No one can expect these people, who have been fighting each other for eons, and are mortal enemies, to ABRA CADABRA, BIP, BANG, BOOM, in 10 years or so, get along and be best buds... Much less AGREE on anything.
