Dear Zap: You do sound a bit drug over the rocks today... I am sorry for my part in that... my daughter, also, disconnected at age 19.  And stayed out of contact deliberately for several years.  It was very, very hard for us (her father and her stepmother).  Someone told me in the middle of it that kids go crazy at age 19.  Ours did.  I know I did.

HMMMM...SOUNDS RIGHT. I AM HOPING.

The introspection in that period taught me that she had some reason to be upset, but no reason to be mean.  We kept sending gifts and cards on birthdays and Christmas.  I would call occasionally, to no response.  We were able to keep up with her through other family and friends and Facebook, of all things.

EU Decay: Grexit Paving the Way for a Brexit, Frexit and Fixit

The deadline to avoid default and a Grexit from the Eurozone is fast approaching - but the proposals offered by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in return for a bailout have been pushed back by the creditors.

New terms for Tsipras have been handed down by the Troika - Greece's creditors.
"There is still a lot of work to do, we are not there yet," Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem told reporters in Brussels.

But as the Greek PM met with the heads of the country's three creditor institutions: the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi, he took to Twitter to respond to the rejection.

Central bank: 2017 will see the issuance of new cash categories

[Shredd] To me, I see this as a good article folks. This is telling us the projection is the rate will be strong enough in only a year and a half from now to demand the circulation of the 50, 100 and 200 to "ease the burdens" after deleting or removing the three zero notes from circulation.

Remember, this is a gradual process and the CBI is revealing more of their plan. This means we should see the rate improve to that point between now and then.

The process of bringing strength to the dinar will take time. Think of it...if the exchange rate was a dime, these notes would be worth 5, 10 and 20 cents. That's a pretty darn good exchange rate!

But for these notes to ease the burden of not have large notes in circulation, that means these notes will not have the role of being coins but rather their large notes.

That will mean the rate will be closer to a buck. Think about the USD, the 100 dollar note is the largest note that has a decent usage in circulation (although I rarely use them!).
