1. Maliki has stated that he will attend the opening of the new Parliament session.

2. Maliki has stated that the attempt to form a "salvation government" is an attempt to destroy the constitution of Iraq.

3. Maliki has made it clear that he intends to stay in office as Prime Minister for a third term.

4. Maliki has signed a letter that says that he will cooperate in the formation of the next government and that he would support "any candidate who achieves victory over terrorism."

State of Law: Maliki is still our candidate and there is no substitute for it

Can you say stubborn? I suspect that Maliki is going to demand his way right out of a PM position.....if he tries to go it alone, he could very well be left out in the cold, unless he has made some extremely big concessions to others.....like the Kurds, but then again......he has done that in the past and not followed through, so who would believe him this time?

Official Doubts Iraq Terrorists' Bank Heist Windfall

I said that I seriously doubted the original claims of what the terrorists "allegedly" stole from the banks.....where was the proof....would you believe a terrorist after all.....a few "million" is a far cry from "hundreds of millions".....but still is more than I have in my bank account today.....it is more believable.

TONIGHT WILL BE A SLIGHT DEPARTURE OF TREND AS WE AWAIT THE AFFECT OF THE MAN FAIRYS' MAGIC DUST TO SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE LAND OF IRAQ. THE MEDIA HAS BY NOW BEEN AFFECTED AS WELL, SO MUCH SO, THAT I'M NOT SURE WE HAVE TOTAL TRUST OF THOSE FACTS.

[tourman] If the political side and the Economic side of our investment are not linked, as some claim, then why is there news on both being presented? We have been told, informed that they both cannot exist together. But it seems that they both are explicably linked do they not?

I appreciate news on both myself, but some cannot decipher what one has to do with the other. Some dont care for the political side because of the complexity of the Parlimentary procedures.

Most look for news that bears directly on the dinar that we hold. Hence the constant question of "when and how much".... IMO we must see it from both political and CBI sides..

Hey Ponee & gang; Today i had a intellectual exchange with my friend over in the sandbox and thought i'd share some info :

Maliki emphatically states today that he will "follow the democratic process" and form a government. he "claims' his party has majority and will not heed the advice of the Obama doctrine : "be inclusive and play nicely with all the kids".

Maliki now seems to think of himself as "the Commander in chief" of all shiite's. The only way Maliki will go is if his own party topples him or he loses support from Iran.

It took the hacking of 70 million Target credit cards during the 2013 holiday season to spur Congress into abandoning the highly unsecure magnetic-stripe cards used by most Americans and setting a deadline for the new (to the U.S., anyway) smart card technology. While Americans are just starting to learn what a smart card is, it's been (successfully) used in other markets for more than 20 years, making the U.S. the only major market on the planet still using the swipe and sign technology.

The 'New' Tech

EMV (stands for: Europay, MasterCard and Visa) "smart cards"

Uses chip and PIN or chip and signature technology and multiple layers of security, including an embedded chip and unique identifier, which can change at any time.

I see the current serious conflict going on in Iraq to be to our advantage for a multitude of reasons...

the main thing is Malikai is going to be ousted either by his own govt or by ISIS... either way he is on his way out

[millionday] Secretary General Ban Ki-moon Tuesday said UN encourages Iraq to continue to pay five percent of its oil and gas revenues to UN Compensation Fund despite recent dispute resulting from Kurdistan Regional Government selling oil without Baghdad's consent.

In his sixth six-month report to the Security Council, Ban said the Governing Council of the Geneva-based UN Compensation Commission held an informal meeting on June 12 to discuss the export sales of oil out of the Kurdistan region without the consent of the Iraqi Government and their implications.
