This has been quite a year for the Iraqi dinar. From a level of IQD 1,217: USD 1 at the end of 2014, the market rate for the currency weekend steadily during the first quarter, penetrated a key support level at 1,290 in late April, and reached a low of 1,379 on June 16.

By that point the dinar had lost 11.7% year-to-date and appeared to be in free fall.

Last week, however, the exchange rate rebounded sharply. As of June 25, it was back at 1,258, bringing the year-to-date loss to just 3.3%. (See chart. Exchange rates are from the CBI and Rabee Securities.)

Regulatory Reform (Laws Legislation) Completions and Recommendations 
(By Ministry)

ELECTRICITY
 
USAID-Tarabot worked with the Ministry of Electricity to review 17 regulations that affect its work in supplying electricity.  For example, Tarabot examined instructions and conditions regarding the structure and process of supplying electricity, reviewed general instructions for the implementation of government contracts, and assessed a law regarding how the ministry should go about collecting payments and/or debts.  

 Other pieces of legislation include the "Commerce Act No. 30 of 1984" and the "Electricity Authority Law." In partnership with the Ministry of Electricity, Tarabot identified and reviewed outdated laws and regulations that impose efficiency costs on the ministry's performance in providing electricity services to the Iraqi people, and set forth recommendations for their elimination or reform.??

Yes I do believe this is going to happen, otherwise I would not be here. I would be somewhere else doing the Lords work. I never would have purchased any foreign currency. In hoping for something one must have faith.

Its only the faith of a little mustard seed to believe in Jesus. Not any different here. My suggestion is put it in a drawer and go on with life, perusing the giver and receive daily blessings to maintain us while we wait. Don't get caught up in this is the only thing to help us, no way.
