Keeping an even keel, the middle of a good week....for some reason Parliament decided even with a good show of members to lift its meeting to tomorrow....what gives with that....not enough on the agenda....need a higher powered law to vote upon....who knows....missed the Bethlehem star last night here, still too much smoke in the atmosphere, but the sun is trying valiantly to break through this morning....thanks for the photos last night TINK, may this light the way.....now for the rest of the news.

Association of Banks: legislation money laundering law will give the world the confidence of the Iraqi private banks

Here's hoping a new law...the Anti-Money Laundering Law will bring new hope and confidence to all banks within Iraq...but may it also bring confidence back to the citizens as well....and keep Iraq off the black list....may this bring guidance to the CBI, the judicial system and all of Iraq.

Today's news is a continuing saga about the Iraq dinar revaluation. If you have not done so already please read my news letter from 6/27 ( LINK) since this is yet more news on this topic.

I know I must sound like a broken record once again but I can assure you, until there is the needed physical security and political stability in Iraq there will be no currency revaluation.

I am therefore showing you the path to this process. We will know when we get there since the CBI will ultimately tell us once again they are beginning the project to delete the zeros. But first they must get the security situation under control and pass the needed laws that help in this process and  also for the healing that must take place from Reconciliation reforms (Erbil) something that was part of the Abadi platform for election.

I am providing a mid-week update. It is all good again and in our favor so relax.

Prime Minister Dr. Haidar al-Abbadi heads the regular session of the Council of Ministers

Cabinet held its regular Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi, the Council agreed to grant allowances to employees of the federal police at their participation in combat missions in case of availability of appropriations.

The Council of Ministers approved a draft anti-money laundering law, and the financing of terrorism, which It is of great importance for his role in drying the sources of terrorism and to respond to international trends in this area.
