7-13-2012 Tony (PTR): It is done. It is completely done. This has nothing to do with Iraq. It's already been activated. The whole situation with Maliki is just for show.
Every single one of our contacts are saying it's done and we could see a RV today. The most important thing for this RV is that Iraq remains politically stable. I'm looking and hoping that this will be over this afternoon.
That is what I think is smart and what I'm hearing. I'm fine with knowing that Iraq's political situation is stable and it's all a show. I'm fine with knowing that the RV is already completed.
I'm happy where we're at and I think it could happen this afternoon. I know information that I can't share with you because it's too sensitve that leads me to believe this is done. ... |

7-13-2012 SWFloridaGuy: It's no secret that the IQD's current rate was government imposed and is grossly undervalued but that doesn't mean we should down-play the significance of what we believe they are trying to accomplish. To put things in perspective; for Iraq to revalue to even a fraction of what we expect (on par with USD/100,000% appreciation) would make this currency reform project a singularity and considered an extremely ambitious economic phenomenon even to Heterodox economists who take "power" and the global elite more into consideration. My goal in writing this post is to credit this historic opportunity with the respect it deserves rather than simplify it with baseless rumors, misinformation and contemptible hype. ...Read More |
American Tax Havens I recently saw this article and thought it was great information for anyone thinking about relocating after the RV. Some states have low property taxes, low gasoline taxes and low sales taxes. Some have low income tax rates, and some expect not one cent of income tax revenue from its residents. Each of these states is the closest thing there is to an American tax haven, and there are many factors to consider for anyone thinking about relocating to one. Breaking Up With Your Bank SmartMoneyBy Charles Passy | SmartMoney - Wed, Jun 27, 2012 2:32 PM EDT Fed up with "gotcha" fees, people are ditching their banks in record numbers. How to tackle the maddening process of moving your money. When Melissa Sullivan recently decided to switch her checking account from a large national bank to a smaller, regional one, she expected to enjoy a new level of customer service and reap the benefit of lower account minimums. What the Florida marketing administrator didn't expect was a series of hassles, from surprise debit fees (when her initial deposit took far longer to clear than anticipated) to a glitchy online bill-paying system. In the end, says Sullivan, the negatives of the switch have far outweighed the positives. "Why does anyone do this?" she now wonders. ...Read More

Iraq Rebuilding Risked Billions In Funds, Auditor Finds July 13 2012 The U.S. government's drive to rebuild Iraq "put billions of American taxpayer dollars at risk of fraud, waste and abuse," and the amount misspent will never be known, according to the final report by a U.S. watchdog agency. The report by Special Inspector for Iraq Reconstruction Stuart Bowen, released today, questioned almost $636 million in costs through June. Auditors found such lapses as "inadequate reviews of contractors' invoices," a lack of sufficient oversight staff and poor recordkeeping, according to the report. The U.S. provided more than $51 billion for reconstruction projects in war-torn Iraq from fiscal year 2003 to 2011. The report said U.S. officials failed in "numerous instances" to thoroughly review contractors' invoices before paying them. In one case involving a State Department contract, the department's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs had one contracting officer validating invoices totaling more than $2.5 billion. The Ten Companies That Will Signal The End To The RecessionThe recession is, by the standard measurement, over. The National Bureau of Economic Research's Business Cycle Dating Committee said the downturn ended in June 2009. Most polls of individuals and company executives say otherwise. And on some parts of Main Street, the recession is still deepening. 24/7 Wall St. took a look at ten large companies whose success will prove that the recession has ended for most Americas - consumers and businesses alike. None of them are rapidly growing. Most are relatively mature. This makes them a good litmus test for showing an improvement in economic growth because rapidly expanding companies such as Apple can give off false signals. ...Read More

7-12-2012 Milndollarbabe: The money (Iraqi) was devalued overnight. I have presented the IMF chart that shows such in my previous chats. It was in the 3's at the time in 2003 prior to the new currency that we hold being introduced.
Secondly, according to the IMF stats, when a country goes into article 8, which makes them a convertible (tradable) country/currency, they cannot be a 2 currency country. This is part of article 8.
Which means if they are to dedollarize, they have to be above $1 or the citizens will NOT stop using the USD. They will at that time become 1 currency, and that will be the dinar.
Thirdly, this is digital currency and not backed by gold, etc. So, I will go into our Fed Reserve and be used for prenegotiated oil prices of $32.00 where we will then use the currency that we take in as petrodinars and make a small fortune on oil purchases/selling. ...

Iraqi scenario in the event of Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz
July 12 2012 Iraq is calculating its losses if Iran carries out its threats of closing the Strait of Hormuz through which most of the country's oil exports pass. While Iraqi officials and analysts see the closure of the strait as highly unlikely, the government says it is wise to have a plan if it becomes a reality. Asem Jihad the spokesperson for the Ministry of Oil says Iraq is considering all options and is working to lessen the adverse impact of such a measure, though if it happens it will have considerable negative implication on the economy. Iraq currently exports 2.2 million barrels of oil a day and 1.7 million of them are loaded through terminals at the head of the Gulf and to reach their destinations they will have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The only functional land route to international markets is via the twin pipeline ending with Turkish terminals on the Mediterranean. Read More
