    [millionday] The President of the House of Representatives, Salim al, on Tuesday, Parliament adjourned to next Wednesday, as announced on the opening of the nomination for the presidency starting on Wednesday.

Jubouri said in a speech after assuming the presidency of the Council, said that "the Presidency of the Parliament decided to lift the parliamentary session, which saw the election of the Speaker and his deputies to next Wednesday to allow more time in front of the political blocs to agree on the election of the President and the Prime Minister."

World News : TBomb reported Hamas rejects Egypt's proposal for cease-fire with Israel. Israeli cabinet had accepted the plan to end week of fighting. Egypt cease-fire plan called for hostilities between Israel and Hamas to end today which would be followed by talks on easing Gaza border blockade.

Militants from Gaza fired about 50 rockets at Israel today. Israeli military says it resumed airstrikes in Gaza after Hamas rejected cease-fire. At least 21 dead, over 136 injured after subway train derails in Moscow. Power surge triggered an alarm, causing train to stop abruptly.

Officials probing possibility of sunken roadbed. Explosion near mosque and market in Afghanistan kills at least 89, wounds scores of others. All victims were civilians, no claim of responsibility.

Dinar, ... Oh Dinar.. you have become an addiction like coffee and donut in the morning  even though I say I want to quit following you, I cannot help myself not to peek on news and rumors and trying to dissect it and finding clues of where you are Smile

In the last few weeks, news has been flying like flies to a picnic table. Rumors are coming out like ants to sugar. We say we don't like rumors, but we cannot help ourselves peeking at rumors and criticizing it. We read the news and wonder if they are fabricated to conceal the whole truth from us.

I don't swallow every news or rumor I read nor the UFOs I hear without checking and double checking with friends. I learn not to throw the baby with the bath water  I say it again, I believe a few gurus have legit intel and they know what they are talking about.

Tlar Comment - While we have mostly concentrated on the politics of Iraq, the CBI has been forging ahead.

The rate is under their control and meets the IMF requirement to move to an Article VIII currency. Article VII means a currency that can be traded globally. Once the government is set the budget will be the first order of business.

The budget can be voted on before they vote a new PM in but the way things are moving the new PM should be in place by the first part of next week IMO.

The CBI has stated since the beginning that the reserves are out of country being held at banks around the world and will be brought back home once the government is set. It is my belief that the reserves were being protected not from the ISIS, but from Maliki.

World War II had just ended. Europe was in ruin.

And since the US was simultaneously the largest economy in the world, the primary victor in the war, and the only major power with its productive capacity intact, it was easy to dictate terms: the dollar would dominate the new system.

Every nation would hold dollars as the primary reserve currency, and the dollar would be redeemable for gold at $35/ounce.

Tlar Comment - So far the parliamentary seesion last night appears to be a success. Maliki and his Ministers were asked to leave and it looks as though the POP and his deputies were elected. Next is the President.

No word on that as of yet. Yesterday in three articles al-Sistani called on Maliki to resign. He demanded Maliki resign in one week. Al-Sistani holds a lot of weight being the higherst religious authority in Iraq.

For years al-Sistani has not interferred in politics choosing to just remain the religious leader. He has activly interjected himself into the political scene to get rid of Maliki (last two articles). He called on the DAWA and the SOL to pick someone acceptable to all parties and dump Maliki..

The heat is now at the boiling point on Maliki. The blocks have decided to move on even before Maliki has resigned voting in the POP and his deputies and the President and his deputies.

Tlar Originally the coalition had hoped to bring the SOL around to their way of thinking and then put up all the positions in one basket and usher in the new government on one vote.

This has proven almost impossible and 15 days later the plan apparently has been changed. The new plan is to chop this tree down one chop at a time. In other words one position at a time.

It will be interesting to see if once the government is set, everyone but the PM position, will the SOL still stay the course and still nominate the toxic Maliki or will they finally come around.
