I LOVE OUR DINAR FAMILY!

When I got involved in this blessing, I had just finished over 35 years of starting and operating over a dozen businesses from Oklahoma to St. Louis to New York to West Virginia, some at the same time.  My beautiful wife and I have traveled this country many times and met some wonderful people.  Our faith has carried us through the past few years as the economy has failed to.

Once I got involved, I have met, through the boards and on the telephone thousands of wonderful people and only a few less than wonderful people.  I thank GOD everyday for the people who I have become very close with.  I hope that what I have contributed has been of some comfort to my friends in this blessing.

I have to tell you that even though all of you mean so much to me, there are a few that I have become so close to that I cannot think that I would want to not continue a regular contact with post RV.  Of course, my first one would have to be my twin brother Soonerfan who has given me more laughter and made my days happier just with his wit and good nature. GOD made ONE SOONERFAN

West has yet to feel repercussions of Iraq war, says top US military adviser
July 16 2012

A senior adviser to the US military has warned that the West has yet to see the repercussions of the war on terror in Iraq and fears some Islamists may still be set on seeking revenge.

Emma Sky, 44, a British political adviser who worked on counter-insurgency measures with America's most senior commandos in Iraq, said nearly a decade of fighting in the Middle East had left many Muslims seeing the intervention as "a war on Islam.

Since troops were deployed in Afghanistan in 2001 more than 100,000 Muslims have been killed.

"We have to ask ourselves, what do we think this has done to their world? And how will they avenge these deaths in years to come? It is not over for the soldiers who have physical injuries and mental scars, nor the families who have lost loved ones," Ms Sky told the Guardian newspaper.

Risks to global growth rising: IMF
July 16 2012

The International Monetary Fund stepped up its warnings Monday on risks to the global economy, especially coming from Europe, as it trimmed its growth forecast for the rest of the year.

The IMF said the world economy appeared weaker since its assessment just three months ago, and while growth was only slightly off the expected pace, "downside risks continue to loom large," especially from inadequate or slow policy reactions in major economies.

"In the past three months, the global recovery, which was not strong to start with, has shown signs of further weakness," the fund said in its quarterly revision of economic forecasts.

"Financial market and sovereign stress in the euro-area periphery have ratcheted up," it said, while growth has fallen below expectations in a number of major emerging-market economies.

The Iraq Inquiry, set up by Gordon Brown to find the truth about Britain's involvement in the Iraq War, will not report its findings for at least another year, two years later than expected.

So far the Inquiry has cost 6.1 million, and the extra year of information-gathering is expected to cost the public purse around 1.4m more.

In total, the Inquiry heard from more than 150 witnesses, but it is still going through the process of persuading the Government to declassify "a significant volume of currently classified material".

Three main points hinder adoption of oil and gas law, says parliamentary committee
16/07/2012 19:22

BGG & Member Chat - Post By Mona Lisa Dinar Updates

7-16-2012 BGG: From Sadr's own "special office" - it seems to point out several issues.

1) the Reform Commitee put forth by Jaafari isn't a replacement for the National Conference - it is meant to support it.

2) The questioner is asking - "Do you think they are serious" - Sadr's response is - We hope the commission is neutral and not under Maliki's control.

3) Sadr honestly hopes Maliki is serious and gets this done before a NCV - after which - it's too late.

This was a very recent note - directly from Sadr. This NCV is not nearly as "dead" or ineffective as everyone is thinking. With Maliki's recent actions (yesterday and today) - it may all be a moot point. The good news is - they aren't that far out of position with regard to removing him, if need be.

[Bulldog75] IRAQ OIL & GAS RESERVES ARE SOME OF THE HIGHEST IN THE WORLD! A NEW CONTRACT WAS SIGNED TODAY INVOLVING KUWAIT & RUSSIA. IRAQ IS NEEDING MORE ELECTRICAL ENERGY: Iraq signed an initial deal with a Kuwait-led consortium Monday and a contract was awarded to a Russia-led group to drill for energy, part of Baghdad's efforts to strengthen its role as a major producer. The two deals are among four that are in the process of being finalized with international firms to boost already plentiful oil reserves and increase production of much needed gas to help fill the country's electrical power shortfall. (part 1 of 2)

[Bulldog75] part 2 of 2) The preliminary deal was the second in as many days, with Baghdad having inked another initial deal with Pakistan Petroleum on Sunday, and set to agree a preliminary contract with a consortium led by Lukoil on Tuesday. Iraq is ramping up oil exports, which account for the vast majority of government income. Baghdad eyes higher gas production to increase woefully inadequate electricity supplies. Iraq has proven reserves of 143.1 billion barrels of oil and 3.2 trillion cubic metres (111.9 trillion cubic feet) of gas, both of which are among the 'highest such deposits in the world'. ~

Ray's Two Cents - Post By Seven Seas PTR

From Ray at PD

Just my two cents but things are really moving forward in Iraq. September is looking very, very good. The CBI is even selling De La Rue machines to the money changers so that they can verify the dinar when people start exchanging it for the new dinar. Has to be a reason for that.

TV, radio and newspapers are still telling the people daily about the coming change and they are still saying September. Nothing will happen until after the feast of Ramadan. Shabibi is still saying 30 days in country to exchange and 45 out of country.

The heat and the lines during Ramadan would be too much for the people that are fasting during Ramadan. After Ramadan, look out. Blessings, Ray

[SWFloridaGuy] So, the fact that they are negotiating Iraq's accession to the WTO is substantial. Iraq has to have a convertible currency. Membership is considered on an individual, case-specific basis. There are private requirements and stipulations in addition to the basic, general guidelines we see in print. Iraq has to lay out all their economic and trade policies that relate to WTO agreements.

Ramadan - The Month Of Fasting

Ramadan, the Month of Fasting - The Meaning of Ramadan

Ramadan is a special month of the year for over one billion Muslims throughout the world. It is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God, and self-control. Muslims think of it as a kind of tune-up for their spiritual lives. There are as many meanings of Ramadan as there are Muslims.

The third "pillar" or religious obligation of Islam, fasting has many special benefits. Among these, the most important is that it is a means of learning self-control. Due to the lack of preoccupation with the satisfaction of bodily appetites during the daylight hours of fasting, a measure of ascendancy is given to one's spiritual nature, which becomes a means of coming closer to God. Ramadan is also a time of intensive worship, reading of the Qur'an, giving charity, purifying one's behavior, and doing good deeds.

Chilcot report into Iraq delayed by Whitehall refusal to release evidence

Chilcot report into Iraq delayed by Whitehall refusal to release evidence
July 16 2012

Fierce opposition in Whitehall to the disclosure of key documents relating to the invasion of Iraq, notably records of discussions between Tony Blair and George Bush, has meant the Chilcot inquiry will not now be able to publish its report for well over a year.

Sir John Chilcot has made it clear in a letter to David Cameron that he and his fellow panel members are deeply frustrated by Whitehall's refusal to release papers, including those that reveal which ministers, legal advisers and officials were excluded from discussions on military action. The papers still kept secret include those relating to MI6 and the government's electronic eavesdropping centre, GCHQ.

In a letter to the prime minister released on Monday, Chilcot says there are unresolved disputes over "a number of particularly important categories of evidence" relating to "the discussions between the prime minister and heads of state or government of other nations" and "the treatment of discussions in the cabinet and cabinet committees".

Don't Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest, if you must, but don't quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned to late when the night came down
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when your're hardest hit-
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

[campdav] Thursday at roughly 5:00 PM Eastern, the IQD showed up on FOREX at the Frankfurt Exchange, and shortly thereafter on the Paris Exchange. For reasons explained otherwise, it did not appear on Citibank's FOREX site in the U.S., and that may be because the USD was not referenced in this announcement.

The actual exchange looked like this: EUR/IQD (EUR-IQD.F)-Frankfurt 0.16 1,555.5270 (99.9900%) Jul 12 Add to Portfolio. Prev Close: 1,474.7684 Open: N/A Bid: N/A Ask: N/A Day's Range: N/A - N/A 52wk Range: 1,436.6387 - 1,678.8651 ..Compare Brokers EUR-IQD.F EUR/IQD 0.16 Currencies FRA EURIQD=X EUR/IQD 1,418.05 Currencies CCY

[campdav] As you can see, the IQD was referenced to the Euro. The Euro was equal (in this posting) to .16 IQD. That would make the IQD worth Eu6.25. Take the current value of the Euro against the US Dollar and we have a valuation of the IQD against the USD equal to $7.62.    Possible?????????????

7-15-2012 Enorrste: Any time between now and September 1. If it doesn't happen by September 1 I will be very disappointed. Shabibi has made his commitment. Now he just needs to live up to it.

Jul 15 11:57 AM [NavyVet] from my post 15 months ago....... I have a close friend whose father lives in Bagdad, was born there, was raised there, and has a very successful business there. He said Last Feb that it wouldn't happen until at least late June - in May he heard it was at least Spring, 2012. He is now saying that if it doesn't happen before June, 2012 it would be another year or more before it RV's. No one knows the date, and he is no different.... Never ever said he knew the date - just that they aren't there yet... not ready... and yes, politics has a hand in it. One thing he is certain about is that it will be at least Spring. I, like you, hope he is wrong.

Hammerman Update - Post By Leo GET Forum
7-15-2012 Hammerman: The rumors about the IQD showing up on the London exchange at 7.65 is correct.  I had that information on Thursday but didn't say anything. I did show up for several hours on the exchange.

Tier 1 level cashouts have already started and there are rumors of Tier 2 cashouts but we can't prove it yet. Tier 1 has definitely started though. Someone is walking into the bank to handle my Tier 1 cashout, that's how it will work for me.

The rate for the IQD is over $7 right now for Tier 1. I'm hearing around the 24th that they will hold the National Meeting. I got word last night that Iraq was cashing in a transfer of IQD into USD inside of the country of Iraq but I can't prove it yet. I got a text a little while ago from a Iraqi contact that said inside of Iraq the IQD is worth $4.78.

BondLady Reminds Us - Post By Leo GET Forum
7-15-2012 BondLady: Remember what shabs said: When the circulation got down low enough from drawing in all the 000 he would RV the currency; said in billons. Is about 4 trillion paper in circulation to 1.18 billion paper.

Possible they are real close or there, 25,000 notes and I think 10,000 notes almost off the streets. If I was going to project it I would say what i have an that's about .86 to 1.40 and ill say another thing here: Some don't seem to understand this but the higher the rate you can bet on a lop.

The lower the rate the RV chances get 85 % higher so I'm inclined to go the opposite way than the high rate but none of us will know till it happens. The only way I could see it come in the $3.00 range is if it was reinstated.

Iraq warns Turkey over separate Kurdish oil deal
July 15 2012

BAGHDAD (AP) : Baghdad warned Turkey on Sunday that its separate oil deal with Iraq's northern self-ruled Kurdish region could damage trade relations, the latest sign of tension between the two neighbors.

This month, Iraq's Kurds announced that they have started exporting crude oil and gas to Turkey. The goal is to barter it for refined petroleum products to meet domestic demand.

The deal is part of a bigger agreement the Kurdish government negotiated and signed with Turkey in May without going through Baghdad. The agreement envisions the Kurdish region exporting not only oil but natural gas through a web of pipelines through Turkish territory to the international market.

"Exporting oil from the Kurdistan region to Turkey is illegal and illegitimate," Iraqi government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement. "The oil and gas are the property of all Iraqis and those exports and revenues must be managed by the federal government which represents all Iraqis," al-Dabbagh added.
