BGG   This is / has been / will be... an investment. NOT A GUARANTEED TICKET, not a bail-out, not a "show-me-where-to-push" so I can get rich button.

It is, by many economists reporting - a grossly under-valued currency on the verge of "repositioning". A currency - an investment...

Evening Discussion With Sczin11 - Butifldrm & OOTW

Butifldrm: If Iraq had an internationally traded currency, they could make a ton of money off their own banks by doing their own international transactions

OOTW: LET'S HOPE THEY GET THIS XBRL SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING SOON

OOTW: SO THEY CAN PRACTICE TRANSPARENCY IN THEIR BANKING PRACTICES

OOTW: AS WE DISCUSSED TODAY, THIS IS ONE OF THE PRIMARY REASONS THEY WERE MOVED FROM ART 8 TO ARTICLE 14 IN 2005

Butifldrm: yes that is vital, because as we can see, transparency is everything toward an internationally traded currency

Butifldrm: and Melli bank has not been the most transparent

OOTW: LOL, NO

Donnie: Expert: Iran nuclear deal will raise the pressure on the dollar in Iraq

Donnie: Qurtas News / Baghdad Predicted economist Ahmed Fahmy, Thursday, that the nuclear agreement between Iran and the West is reflected positively on the Middle East and the Gulf region. Fahmi said in a statement to "Qurtas News" that "the arrival of Iranian and west sides to an agreement after 21 months of tough negotiations and years of tension and sanctions against Tehran would reflect positively on the Middle East and the Gulf region in general."

Fahmi said that "Iraq is Iran's closest neighbor and the largest affected troublesome and international sanctions against Iran, the results of the agreement gradually lift economic sanctions on Tehran, which will lead to the lifting of the pressure on the dollar in the Iraqi market prices."

Dinar Updates:

BGG    The IMF, WB and others are ready willing and able to help... but it is becoming increasingly clear all the "good intentions" they can muster won't be enough.   Abadi (and others) must come to the table with real reforms.

The good news. It appears - they are working diligently on such reforms. Both internally and with external help (the Iran deal).  the next few days and whether or not Maliki actually resigns will be a very exciting time - in relation to this investment (directly)...

I have been plain in my opinions - Maliki (former PM) has held some sway over monetary policy (from behind the scenes) - it is an easy case to make. His usefulness to Iran and the world, for that matter wanes.

Once his is out of the way, I expect things to fall (or be put) into place quickly.

Reportedly - this may be afoot as we speak...

Sczin & Chattels News & Discussion Early AM 7-17-15

Post From Wealthwatch.world Chat Room Early Morning 7-17-15

chattels: ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Along with the majority of the Muslim world Iraq's Kurdistan Region will celebrate the Eid al-Fitr feast on Friday, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, religious authorities announced.

chattels: The Kurdish economy, which had been flourishing in what was the only peaceful portion of Iraq, has taken a hit from a financial dispute with Baghdad, a tsunami of some 2 million refugees and displaced from Syria and the rest of Iraq that have sought refuge in Kurdistan and precious resources having to go to the war.

chattels: In most Muslim country, and in the Kurdistan region, Eid will be celebrated for three days. Celebrations are dampened however by the well over 1,000 Peshmerga killed in the war with ISIS or brutally executed by the religious fanatics, and some 5,000 wounded.

Wealthwatch News - Links & Discussion Late Night 7-16-15

Post From Wealthwatch.world Chat Room  Late Night 7-16-15

BOBBY: question.... was the info on maliki 100 pecent confirmed?

chattels: WASHINGTON DC - US President Barack Obama has ruled out cooperation with Iraq's government in areas where the Iranian military is present, warning that Iranian-backed militias might commit atrocities in recaptured Sunni areas.

In "what Iran is doing there is a problem, and we can't cooperate in that area," Obama said on Wednesday. He explained that, while Washington is cooperating with the Iraqi government on regaining territories lost to the Islamic State group (ISIS), it does not shy away from telling Baghdad that military cooperation with Iran is wrong.

chattels: apparently he does not like his new friends

[07/16/2015 09:42:57 PM] chattels: He stressed that US assistance to Iraq is conditional on having Iraqi security forces under the direct control of the country's prime minister. "If we don't have confidence that ultimately Abadi is directing those soldiers, then it's tough for us to have any kind of direct relationship," he said.
