Well Family, I believe I can promise you that this may very well develop into a Monday like no other.....Maliki has dug in and seems poised for a military coup if he does not get his way....meanwhile early morning scanning tells me that Abadi has nodded his head in acceptance as a nominee for Prime Minister....the US is pushing totally against Maliki now....and the Lions won yesterday......wonder if Frank will catch that.....keep an eye on Maliki.....more so now than ever before.

Central bank: we have maintained the stability of the currency despite the instability in the markets

What better lead off story than from the CBI and Governor Turki this morning.....he insists that despite the turmoil witnessed in the markets in recent days and the ongoing security issues around the country the CBI has maintained strong stability with the currency at the same time....he says the bank attempts to work equally with private banks and government banks alike....Turki is going a good job of showing strength for the CBI during all the upside down issues that Iraq is experiencing

Stevel: I have every reason to believe my sources that is telling me that former Prime Minister Maliki is now officially history. Yes will continue to rattle some cages, but nothing will become of it.

I hope now focuses on his exit plans vs.his continued third term. I do believe it he stays and causes trouble, he will be arrested pursuant to the current charges against him in the International Courts.

If I were him, I would leave quickly and quietly. Blessings to all.

Our day is almost here. Now the next focus will be the rest of the laws including the budget.

I come to you today to give you a recent update on the election process and how this relates towards the international rollout of the IQD for Iraq.

Note: If you have not read my previous news letter from Friday 8/8 (LINK), I encourage you to first read it. Today's news letter, as in all my news letters, is a continuation of the ongoing saga of the IQD RV process.

I need to reinforce everyone to hang tight and not sell you IQD. We will be exchanging at the banks with the new revalued rate shortly. I am going to now tell you why I believe this is true.

Good Morning Family.....here are just some quick recaps of things we saw happening overnight in Iraq.

President of the Republic Massoum's residence was surrounded by Maliki loyal militia and there was at least one report of the residence taking fire from a missile/mortar that has no other confirmation, no reports of injury at this time....there were reports of skirmishes with the Peshmerga who are charged with protecting the President of the Republic.

Maliki loyal military in Baghdad were seen throughout the Green Zone stepping up patrols in the area and tightening security in the Green Zone.

Maliki continues to state that President Massoum is violating the Constitution by refusing to name Maliki as the only candidate for Prime Minister and now Maliki threatens President Massoum because of his alleged lack of action.

PIF Sunday Late Afternoon News Summaries - Part 1 of 2

SUNDAY AUGUST 10TH

TODAY HAS BEEN A VERY GOOD DAY. IT WAS CONFUSING IN THAT THERE ARE MANY THINGS GOING ON THAT WE ARE NOT SEEING. THERE ARE MEETINGS TAKING PLACE WHERE THERE SHOULDN'T BE AND DISAGREEMENTS EVERY WHERE. THE NEWS HAS BEEN SO RECYCLED TODAY IT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TO PULL THINGS THAT ARE ON TRACK BUT I THINK WE DID A GOOD HERE.

WE ARE STILL WAITING UNTIL MIDNIGHT WHICH IS 5PM EST TO HAVE A NAME SENT OUT FOR PRIME MINISTER IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CONSTITUTION.

YOU WILL READ ABOUT FUAD GETTING FRUSTRATED AND THREATENING TO DISASSEMBLE THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, BUT I THINK THAT WAS SAID IN A FIT OF EXASPERATION.

WHILE ALL THE MONKEY BUSINESS WAS GOING ON IN BAGHDAD THE KURDS WERE DOING A MARVELOUS JOB FIGHTING BACK DAASH. THEY BROKE THE HOLD ON THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTAIN AND 20,000 YAZEDIS WERE RESCUED SO FAR.
