THIS DAY IN HISTORY August 2, 1990 Iraq invades Kuwait
At about 2 a.m. local time, Iraqi forces invade Kuwait, Iraq's tiny, oil-rich neighbor. Kuwait's defense forces were rapidly overwhelmed, and those that were not destroyed retreated to Saudi Arabia.
The emir of Kuwait, his family, and other government leaders fled to Saudi Arabia, and within hours Kuwait City had been captured and the Iraqis had established a provincial government.
By annexing Kuwait, Iraq gained control of 20 percent of the world's oil reserves and, for the first time, a substantial coastline on the Persian Gulf.
The same day, the United Nations Security Council unanimously denounced the invasion and demanded Iraq's immediate withdrawal from Kuwait. On August 6, the Security Council

Move the public prosecutor, on Wednesday, a complaint against the names received (among the accused) in the interrogation of Defence Minister Khaled al-Obeidi session.
A statement by the judiciary got "direction Press" a copy of it, " The chief prosecutor of the public / federal judiciary has to move the complaint public right based on Article (II) of the Public Prosecution Act against all those named in the words of Secretary of Defense during the questioning session in Iraqi Council ofRepresentatives held on the first of August (Monday), which includes the assignment of the facts of corruption to the mentioned ".

They have been working on eliminating corruption BUT reality is more like trying to get it under control...... The likely hood of a politician in Iraq who has not taken a payoff or received money for political favor is non-existant.......
Every politician is guilty of some form of corrutption, either being the instigator of or the acceptance to.......
The fact is, it is a cesspool and the finger pointing would and will be endless in any interogation......
Thus the desire for technocrats.....not just that they are qualified for the field they will be chosen to serve in.....but rather they are people who have not been living in the "pool"......

REMEMBER THAT A BOND IS AN INSTRUMENT OF A COUNTRY AND AS SUCH A REDEMPTION OF AN INTERNATIONAL BOND MUST BE DONE BY THE ISSUING COUNTRY OR IT'S MONETARY DEPARTMENT.

It would appear others are now picking up on the importance of the G20 Summit this September in Hangzhou, China. I have been discussing this summit for some time and gave it particular attention in a post back on June 15, 2016.

The article is apparently built around the August subscription newsletter of Jim Rickards, and is supported by Tweets from the friendly Willem Middelkoop, both of whom are well-versed on the SDR and have also contributed large amounts of material towards understanding monetary reform.
