The saying "shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations" remains as true today as it was a century ago. Kids, taxes, bad investing and the debauching effects of wealth over the generations have not changed.

An observant wealth expert sent us a data analysis combining the new Forbes richest family list and the Forbes billionaire's lists to figure out how many of today's billionaires are first generation, second, third and so on. The results prove the "shirtsleeves" adage-that family wealth seems to hit a cliff at the third generation.

Top US City For Millionaire Growth: Dallas

The U.S. created 600,000 new millionaires last year-the fastest growth since at least the early 1990s. And increasingly, the big wealth drivers in America are oil and tech.

Dallas was home to the fastest-growing population of new millionaires in 2013, according to a new report from Capgemini and RBC Wealth Management.

The number of millionaires in that city jumped 20 percent to 113,000. All together, Dallas millionaires control $457 billion in wealth.

The US is running out of ammo. Russo/China are now positioned in the ME comfortably. An interstesting middle game from the chessboard perspective. The sadness is the lives that suffer while the game continues. Food for thought...

Iraq's New Premier Shakes Up Military

To me this was no surprise in coming...I guess I'm surprised it took him this long to take action....but Abadi knows what he is doing and knows when the time is ripe to strike I think.

The cronyism that Maliki showed is rampant through out the government but probably more visible in the leadership of the military....even with leaders that obviously had failed....they were brought back under the cloak of darkness so the people wouldn't notice..
