Samson: Transport : Achieving an increase in the revenues of the Abu Flus port has reached 3 times during the last month

Transport Minister Abdullah Luaibi announced on Tuesday an increase in revenue from Abu Flus, three times higher than in December 2018.
"The port of Abu Flus achieved a threefold increase in revenues during the last months of 2018," said Luaibi, in a statement received by Mawazine News. "This achievement came through new means and actions that helped attract and encourage shipping lines Companies and carriers to docking their ships and unloading their cargo in the port."
He stressed that "Abu Floss has achieved (809,708,000) during the last three months of 2018," directed by the new port administration to "study how to follow the scientific and practical methods of modern development and development of the port to be attractive and encouraging carriers to unload their goods in it".

Samson: The world's stock exchanges are on holiday to celebrate the New Year

The global financial markets continue to celebrate New Year's Day as they closed their doors to investors on Tuesday on a public holiday.
European bourses, including the British bourses, Italian Milan and the French stock market, are set to stop to celebrate the first day of the new year. The STOXX 600 index ended last year with losses of more than 13 percent, marking the biggest annual drop since 2008. In European markets, Frankfurt's German stock market closed for a second straight day after ending the 2018 session last Friday. The German DAX ended the longest wave of annual gains in its history, down 18.26% in 2018.
For the United States, both the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ are closing their doors on public holidays for the same reason. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded the worst annual performance in a contract with 5.6% loss in 2018, while the Standard & Poor's 500 and Nasdaq fell 6.2% and 3.9% in the same year. The situation was little different within the Asian markets, with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Hong Kong and Shanghai on Tuesday deciding to take official leave.
Japan's Nikkei index posted its first annual decline since 2011 and Shanghai's losses hit 24.6 percent last year. Santiago, Chile, Toronto in Canada and Mexico City, Mexico, are closing their doors to investors. The Sao Paulo Stock Exchange joins the rest of the world markets to close trading on Tuesday.
