Samson:  Iraq is officially excluded from the list of States subject to monitoring and follow-up

The Central Bank of Iraq (FATF) announced on Sunday that the FATF has officially released it from the follow-up area, as the Bank and AML / CFT have made significant progress in improving and addressing deficiencies and meeting all its obligations

 In a statement received by Al-Iktissad News, the bank said, "FATF has officially removed it from the follow-up area, because the Bank and AML / CFT have made significant progress in improving and addressing deficiencies and meeting all its commitments to the FATF recommendations. Requirements of the AML / CFT strategy prepared by the Central Bank. "

He added that "the bank has legislated the Anti-Money Laundering Law No. 39 of 2015 and issued instructions and controls and the establishment of the Anti-Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism Council as well as the Committee on the freezing of terrorist funds."

The statement pointed out that "Iraq is no longer subject to monitoring and follow-up by the FATF."    LINK

Baxter;$$$ 6-30-2018 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Great article today talks about how they plan to open the banking system to engage with international banks. This article just gushes with excitement as they get ready to move to Article VIII. If you remember that plan was in the IMF directives with the CBI send a positive message about the banking system...it's coming. Now that the CBI is in compliance it's just a waiting game for them to write the letter. ;$$$

Mangelo: At my fitness center there's this girl who's parents are from Iraq... now I have been there for a year I didn't know that....anyway I talked to her about the currency and others....she said her parents bought the dinar has an investment…. when I told her it supposed to revalue this week her eyes lit up... I asked her to follow up on some questions I had and if she could back to me...

Mangelo: so anyway, I called her up at the fitness center on Thursday and she wasn't in, so I called her on friday and her friend said that she came in all excited and made an emergency leave and told her that what we were talking about was to happen, they had gotten word from their relatives in Iraq. She said (they should) buy dinars and talk to Mangelo… So she was busy and said she would call me..... I am waiting still.......
