Restored Republic via a GCR: Update as of June 4 2019

Compiled 4 June 2019 12:01 am by Judy Byington

Below is a summary of information from the Internet. It would be up to the individual reader to do their own research and decide whether or not it is valid.

Judy Note: It would be my personal opinion that the Google outage Sun. June 2 that affected most of the East Coast, was an issue related to the reason we did not see notification to set appointments on Sun. June 2 as expected.

We appeared to still be on track to receive notification at any time, with Zim appointments set within a few hours and currency exchange appointments beginning Wed. June 5.

Tues. June 4 would be Value Day, meaning that all the currencies would have a new value. They would be fixed and we would be able to see them everywhere.

Young_SC  The government’s monetary policy since 2003 has focused on maintaining price stability and exchange rate predictability. The inflation has remained in the low since 2010.
According to the CBI, the inflation rate is 1.4% (2015 estimates), while the World Bank estimates 2015 at -1.2%, and the country’s international reserve volume also has decreased due to the sharp decline in oil prices.
The independence of the CBI suffered a setback in January 2011 when former Prime Minister al-Maliki won a court ruling that placed independent institutions, including the CBI, under the control of the cabinet. In January 2012, the CBI raised the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar to $1.19, causing a huge crisis that led the Supreme Judicial Council to issue an arrest warrant for CBI governor Sinan al-Shabibi in October 2012 on charges of corruption.

Philanthropy 101

Giving money away can be just as complicated as making it.

Private bankers help spread the wealth.

Private bankers help clients to guard their wealth; they also hold their hands when it’s time to give some of it away.

“Many times clients are interested in donating, but they don’t really have the people to sit down and have a dialogue with,” says Nicholas Stonestreet, head of Trust & Wealth Structuring at Merrill Lynch International Private Client Group. “It’s a really important part of private banking.”

Stonestreet encourages his staff to ask clients about their philanthropic intentions. Like therapists exploring personal problems, charity experts at private banks can help donors think through their altruistic inclinations and motives.

The Seven Deadly Sins Of Personal Finance
By J.D. Roth —03 June 2019
I've been reading and writing about personal finance for more than thirteen years. In that time, I've consumed a lot of books about money. Lately, I've found that it's fun to revisit old favorites.
Recently, for instance, I've been re-reading Brett Wilder's The Quiet Millionaire [my review]. It's different than most personal finance books. It's targeted at those who are farther along their financial journeys rather than at those just starting out. Still, there are bits and pieces in The Quiet Millionaire that are applicable to everyone.

Samson: Ammar al-Hakim gives Abdul-Mahdi a few days before going to his government's opposition

3rd June, 2019

The Coalition for Reform and Reconstruction (AMR) on Monday gave coalition leader Ammar al-Hakim a deadline for Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to hold a "real reform" in the Iraqi state and tackle "all failures and failures in his government."

"Hakim gave a deadline to Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi until the end of Eid al-Fitr, and the government of Abdul-Mahdi to carry out real reform measures or direct reform to the opposition," Rep. Nada Shaker Jawdat told Asharq Al-Awsat.

"The meetings and ongoing dialogues between the parties to reform, to discuss and discuss the orientation of the coalition to the opposition to the truth, and officially and publicly, as we are waiting for what will be done by Abdul Mahdi, although the deadline is nearing completion, without doing anything on the ground.    LINK

Raptor:   HUUUUGE article!!! Thank you Samson!! IMO it would appear Mahdi has a short time to "Git 'er Done!"
