Chat Room News Excerpts & Highlights Early Wednesday  5-1-19

chattels     foxmulder In regards to your question yesterday about the contextual meaning of " stability " in the news article, my take / understanding is that stability is met by the maintenance of less than 2% variance in the official and market rate, which has been extant for some months now as best one can determine.

Baxter  evidently.. the 2% ordeal.. wasnt an issue... or at least the only issue... its been 14 months with the 2%... and we are still broke..

Here’s an easy way to tell if Your Bank Is Actually Safe

March 15, 2013 was a pretty normal day in Cyprus. It was a Friday, and most people were looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

The next morning the entire nation woke up in horror. Their politicians had been up all night, negotiating with international lenders to provide an emergency loan to the country, and its banks.

It turned out that the banks in Cyprus were all insolvent; just like banks in the United States during the 2008 sub-prime crisis, banks in Cyprus had been making idiotic decisions with their customers’ hard-earned savings.

Sam Oliver - Did you notice all the wonderful articles that came out today? Each one talks about rebuilding the infrastructure in America.

Deals were being made to promote a growing economy. Taking money from the future and using it in the here and now, so we can somehow survive these present moments in an economy of survival that one day is stated as surviving and the next day as doing well.

It seems we have unity now between the democrats and republicans on borrowing 990 billion dollars to fix what is presently broken. Fueling the economy with more debt. Sounds like a good plan for the moment don't you think?

I DON'T THINK SO.

It is a good plan if you want to bankrupt an economy. Have you ever noticed what happens to people who go bankrupt? Many people go on a buying spree and accumulate a huge debt knowing it cannot be paid back.
